You act as if Mormons or Jehovahs witness' that come to your door do so merely to wipe your face in your sinful life. And that would be a hugely incorrect viewpoint....they come in order to save those that they see as lost to God. Its an act of love for a persons spiritual wellbeing, not an attempt to rub your nose in it.

Well for starters, I would say that I think everyone would be better off believing in God than not. That is a simple truth. However, I wouldnt be a very good christian if I didnt think this now would I?

I certainly dont view myself as 'better' than you however. I see everyone as a sinner, and pretty much equal in that regard. You have issues that you deal with just like I have issues I have to deal with.

You know, that comment will start a round of complaining that it's Christians with a persecution complex.

Of course, everyone has a persecution complex, and I think a lot of people would be subconciously delighted if this happened to them - point out how unfairly you are treated, without having to lose anything worthwhile - but it is funny that some here are simultaneously complaining about how unfairly they are treated because of their atheism and mocking Christians for complaining that they are treated unfairly for their religion. (Or maybe it only looks like people are doing that.)

As a private business owner I can tell you that in no way shape or form does any company have to be democratic in its practices.

But, you couldn't hire or fire an employ because they were, say, black, could you? But, you could decide to not take their business, correct? Is that the difference here?
