Neo Nes : Legends

Take Ottomans. I'm not in an Ottoman mood these days, and I'm extraordinarily busy with my own NES.

Sorry Stalin. :( Make a Buddhist nation and I'd be happy, though.

The Ships docked at a small bay. Thousands left them. The French people have finaly escaped the Old destoried world. They were lucky to be some of the last survivors.

King Louis IV now was in command of a tiny country in the middle of nowhere of unknown lands. He quickly understood New France will need to restart all it ones was. His first orders were to take men into the forests and begin cuting down trees and hunting more deers. He also ordered that with the new wood severan ships should be built and a small place to hold animals. If used right his small numbers of cows bulls, horses and chickens will rise and could much better support the people of New France.

And so The King begun to build up his country with Agricultural buisnesses and new farms for animals and the seeds from the old world. Also 150 men were taken and trained to be archers for defending the lands. This will be much required as no one knew what would be found...

gaahh you stalin, i thought it was tuesday...ohwell, schools only 8 hours, i should have time after school to make a good story and comprehend the rules better :p

Update I : Genesis

The exiled from the new world started building up what they found. They started to settle and tear down trees. There was not enough food to be found. everyone was hungry. But things were worked upon. farms and ranching were being built. Explorers were given the task of looking on the area surrounding them and finding new things. The landscape lacked many of the requirements to build gunpowder, so the guns and cannons were obsolete. the few gunpowder that was brought was used to fight the sea serpents. The rest got wet and lost on the sailing trip.

New armies were raised, not for invasion, but mere law enforcement. The iron crossbows were integrated w/ infantry and cavalrymen were given wood spears.

NEW CHINA
The men came and started to chop trees down, lumber came down quickly and was moved slowly by horse and a few remaining Ox. One of the workers noticed a small lizard, it was red, purple and white. He had never seen anything like it and placed it in a bag. As he returned back to the makeshift town, a naturalist examined the lizard. It was definetely a new species he said. the lizard tried to escape from his hand and in the run it fell into the fire of his dilapilated cabin. However the small salamander did not burned, but the fire got extinguished. After several experiments, it was concluded that the small lizard could put down small fires. The lumberjacks went back and gathered some extra few salamanders. They could probably have some use in the future.

NEW PORTUGAL
Much infrastructure was set up, but people couldnt build clothes as they lacked textiles. more people in farms would produce more food.
Explorers made few progress agaisnt the vegetation and trees. They were tired and decided to sit down under a great tree. It was under the cover of darkeness that they heard a strange, yet beutiful noise. It came form some sort of bird. The men woke up and kept their wide eyes open. Then suddenly, light came out from afar. A white glowing bird apeared, it was the size of a hawk and flew quite high and fast. As it flew, some of its glowing feathers fell off, creating what it seemed a path of light. The men tried to follow and catch the bird but it was imposible. However they gathered the few feathers they could reach. Nine feathers of the 'Hercinia' bird were collected. Its glowing potential did not diminished and kept bringing light to the dark. Upon come back they showed it to their leader. He could maybe give these feathers a use someday.

FLAMMENGIA
In here the people had to go through the coldest place compared to the other nations. They tried to plant some seeds, but the night cold stunted their growth and died. All of the farms failed other than the ones of potatoes. However the grass here was specially nutritious, and grew faster than what people were accostumed to. At first it was a problem since people could not see where they steped on, as grass covered poisonous snakes. but then it was realised that the grass grown here was specially good for cattle. The horses, cows and Ox ate to their heart's content. Soon the cows grew fat and gave milk more nutrituos than normal milk. Its effect on all cattle was interesting, as their reprouction potential doubled. The people tought that this great grass would be good for humans too, but as they tried to eat it, it gave them a bad case of diarreah.
Soon the nation was being feed not by vegetables but very good beef, milk and eggs. The ranches would produce more if more people were hired to work on them.
NEW SPAIN: This same kind of grass was found on New spain and had the same effects.

NEW ROME:
Farms begin to develop slowly, but w/ more workers, it will provide much more food than it currently does.
500 lumber was collected, more than enough to serve for upcomming construction. Hunting and fishing continued, altough is already visible that the hunting game will not last long. A small village developed far from the capital. Residents want to connect both cities by a road.
A very very strange thing was found here. The exiles brought with them their pets, dogs and cats. And it was here that a cat found a strange thing. It catched it and brought it back home. Before it was about to eat it, the owner took it and gave it a good look. It wasnt a white rat. It was the size of a large rat but it wasnt as bad looking. After careful examination, she realised that it was some sort of miniature sheep. Sightings started to apear in number. After a few days, the mystery was discovered. Behind a forest, small trees covered a large part of an open field. The fruit of the plant were small sheep, which would grass around the plant. once the sheep matured and ran out of grass to feed upon, it would be detached and run. Once it found a good location, it would dig up a hole and bury itself. From it a new plant would be born, repeating the cycle again. The plant was not nutritive and the sheep provided almost no meat (which had a taste to soy) but the small sheep were covered by what seemed to be a merge of wool and cotton. Some ideas would develop in the village...

NEW ENGLAND

In New england the impetous king ordered much to be built right away. and it worked, New England is now producing enough to feed their population and started some industry. However the price to hurry all this came to be a bit more than expected. An island was discovered north of their small territory.
Prospectors searched for gold, silver and iron in the immediate location, they found none and came back home. As they gave a final look at a bunch or rocks, they found a red stone, it was almost like a rubby in its apearance. As the one that found it looked at its great apearance, the rest wanted to look at it too, a small fight started and the rock moved from hand to hand. Eventually it fell to the ground, when a fire sparked on the rock. It had landed on a white stone, a plain and rough looking one. The prospectors played w/ it, and found out that the red rock would ignite a fire as it touched the white one. They found several white stones of the kind, but only one red one. They went back home and showed what they found.

OTTOMANS:
The Ottomans concentrated on tearing trees down for their wood. They used an interesting technique, they used their ox to pull the trees from their roots. But they were not the only ones doing such. They encountered great white elephants, they were 25% larger than those in africa and their ivory seems to be finer than anything they can remember.
After the ottomans got some wood, they concentrated on building ships. These brought much fish. But much more food is needed. Perhaps use of their seeds and animals can be put to use in the now open land.

THE FRENCH AND CHINESE MEET:
Some french fishermen got lost due to a storm, they lost their was and landed somewhere in the south east. It is here where they meet with strange people. They rode on horses and used the crossbow. Even tought the chinese were strange for the french (and the other way around). They were happy to see more human beings and fellow exiled. they tried to communicate, but neither could understand each other. The only thing understood was the direction of the other. The chinese helped the french fix their ship and they went back to their homes. Soon, both nations would concentrate on expanding and finding a way to start true communications with each other.

NOTE: added fort and citadel on legend so they appear on map. Citadels are huge and should take a lot to build and lots of manpower to maintain.
Logging camps include sawmills and everything needed to chop, tranport and get wood ready for use.
Also, most of you have started ranches and farms. Just add more people to them to get more food.
Oh, and dont try to spend up all of your manpower so quickly.
Population will automatically rise once you can feed all of your population.
Update thursday. - Orders were good and stories great. Next time just compile what you did on your orders, and in the end put a total of manpower, gold and stockpiled materials used.

Takaeda and Athens are open (unless i hear from their respective owners)

If I met the Chinese should I see the way to them and our lands on the map become 1 map?

*looks at New England's Food production* O_____O, oh well. btw stalin, wat happened to silk worms? u said it would be in update.

*claims Athens!*

"How goes the work, good sculptor?" Tessos asked.
"Slowly." replied the man, setting down his chisel. "But the Ἀθήναι plaque will be ready by the end of the week."
Tessos looked at the enormous slab of marble, the only one out of eighty to have made the journey to this new land. Plans had been made for many minor things. Now, instead, the ancient name for the new city was to be carved in stone, and then raised up above the harbor.
As the sculptor picked up his chisel and started to tap away at the slab again, Tessos politely took his leave, thinking once more on the events that had led him to become ruler of this little colony. The Red Plague had killed the entire Royal Family, plunging Old Greece (for that was how he thought of the country now) into chaos, and it was General Panagiatos who had ordered the evacuation of almost a million people. Tessos had been a corporal back then, and at the arrival he was not only the highest ranking survivor, but also seen as a hero, after his spear had caught a sea serpent in the eye... Oh, how naturally everything had progressed from there.

God's Cathedral, later that day.
A fine name for a two-story house, thought Tessos. Well, the Apostles lived with less, so I suppose we can endure this too. He waited, as did thousands of others, outside the doors of the large building where a strange ritual was taking place.
Suddenly the doors began to creak open.
"We have a Pope!" was the cry from the white-robed man in the doorway. "Salute Pope Anterus II!"
Cheering erupted from the assembled crowd, and Tessos grinned, recalling what little he could of history. Anterus was the name of the last Greek pope - a thousand years ago. Tessos had no idea what went on inside the Church, but he could already see the implications.

The next day, all was back to normal. The new Church of this colony had calmed down very quickly, and Tessos was giving orders again. At this moment, one project dominated.
CUT. MORE. TREES. And build boats from.
"We'll have problems forging the iron-" objected one minister.
"We're chopping trees, fool. Fuel for the forges will be no problem."
"The axes will be of inferior quality-"
"Then reforge the swords. Do you see anyone to war with? Even if we met some other refugees, would they be interested in the least?"
"The transportation-"
"You know, that's possibly the best objection I've heard yet. Let me explain: We don't have the materials for building a proper road. So we'll simply cut whatever trees we can and do the best we can on them. We need more lumber, we need more cleared land, and we need even more lumber, for everything. Houses. Boats. EVERYTHING. The roads are not a priority."
It still took the better part of an hour, but Tessos was able to get his will pushed through in the end. Thousands of men were to cut trees. Soon New Athens would have one resource, at least.

Expanded mappity!!!
