How about maximums of 30 divisions(600,000 men) for a huge land army, 25 divisions(500,000 men) for a large army, 20 divisions(400,000 men) for a medium army and 15 divisions(300,000 men) for a small army? Das should be the final judge on this, I think.

As for navy, how about maximums of:
20 carriers(when they are finally made), 25 submarines(when they are discovered by that navy), 25 battleships, 100 destroyers for a huge navy

15 carriers, 20 subs, 15 battleships, 75 destroyers for a large navy

10 carriers, 15 subs, 10 battleships, 50 destroyers for a medium navy

5 carriers, 10 subs, 5 battleships, 25 destroyers for a small navy

How about that? It would stop these stupid races for hundreds of battleships, forcing older models to be destroyed to make way for newer ones, as per the real world.

ie; my Greece has a large land army and a medium navy

That means it had 25 divisions, or 500,000 men in its army, and 10 carriers, 10 battleships, 50 destroyers, 15 subs and however many transports I want(they don't need to be regulated)

I know 20 carriers for a huge navy seems a large amount, but remember the strength of the allies by the end of WW2!

TO AZTECS

Our war isn't with you, but with America. They didn't offer a fair peace deal to Rome, and seem to ignore the fact that you might have an opinion on this.

So I propose this:
Rome gets to keep 50% of the land they took, including a border with Peru. In return, there will be peace, and I will send you gold and platinum, and if required, aluminium.

This is a simple solution, and gives us all peace. If America doesn't accept and you do, then we will accept your deal, and ignore the Americans. If they try to intervene again, then that would basically be completely arrogant and ignorant towards you, and even some would say an unwanted invasion, making war on your land! I suggest in that event, you strongly consider who your friends really are.

Plus I am sure if America tried to overrule you again, the Trinity Alliance or another neutral party might be able to persuade Lincoln to give up in South America - you don't need his help.

Simply put, we all want peace!

But the main point is is do you agree to that peace treaty? If you do, then the war can end. If Rome decides to continue it, it will be without my support, the Greek troops will be told to return home.

I hope you would do the same with America, talk them out of continuing the war. If we both agree to peace, then I am sure that this war can end.

I am willing to trade wine and the wine growing tech for something to help me with my country. How about medical supplies? My new NHS needs more medical supplies, and the factories to produce them are only just setting up shop.

Could you help us in this way?

I dearly would like to have this refrigeration, my hospitals can't keep organs and bodies without it, and my civilians still have to buy fresh food every day.

Oh, and I consider 5 regiments to be a division, as remember tihs isn't the real world. So I'd say about 300,000 men would be about right.

And if your army doesn't have the latest kit because you've been concentrating on your navy, Greece would be happy to give you 300,000 of the latest breech loading rifles from the Spartan works.

Oh, and for this refrigeration, how about I trade you diamonds, platinum, gold, silver, wine and saltpeter in return for smaller capacity fridges? With it using smaller devices, my nation wouldn't be able to produce large fridges, and so our ships would still be limited to the usual routes. But finally my people would be able to store food!

If you agree to this deal, I promise to allow British inspectors in every month to check that we are not installing large fridges in our ships, or even making them.

Please accept this deal, it would mean a lot to my people!

To EVERYONE: Okay, guys, I am having hard time, not because of the game itself - I enjoy it very well, but because that it goes so quick, I could not simply follow everything that happens, because that each day there are 4 pages added, and soem people here are not doing anything realistic. So I suggest that start a new NES game, and there, please, we will not go so fast! I am sorry, but I usually go online in 18:00, and that's the earliest possible...

As a compromise, I suggest that someone else takes over this NES, while I will start another, in which I will try to make better rules. Capish?

The First Xerxes class destroyer set out into the Arabian sea today. Persians cheered and wept as their magnificent, even wounded, president broke a glass of champaign over it's bow, christening it the Emperor. it joined a pair of Mohammed class submarines to form Persia's most modern battlegroup.

Persian Engineers announced that the suez cansl will soon be completed.

Persia is still looking for more deals offering tech for oil.

My battleships will still have to dock at places to get food, but at least the bit we can take stays fresh now! And with my base in the Falklands, I at least can get to and from South America without difficulty. So I thank you, and I now declare that I won't fight the Trinity Alliance if war erupts between our two alliances. The others would have to stand alone then, I am not risking war on my own continent!

The American ships were sent back, their cxargo unmolested as per an agreement between Persia and Greece, Persia also signed documents entering itself into the toulon pact.

Persian Marines (i don't mean the civ3 unit, just soldiers in this meaning) seized an area known as Panama from the Aztecs, who's pacifioc fleet is currently engaged in a violent conflict with the Persian one. The Emperor has bombarded their capitol and their merchantilke vessles feel the wrath of Persian subs.

Persia is now willing to discuss peace with the aztecs, before i crush them under my heel.

Persia also has sent Jihad rifles and Redemption (gatling) guns to the aid of S. China, my ally and Freind may you continue the fight for freedom!

To India i send oil, lots of it, trade it with who you will. Sennd me what you want to for it.

Stalin and his anarchists, with inside assistance, have attacked the Russian Naval Base as the Moscva was preparing for her maiden sea trials. The Moscva was not supposed to be loaded with live ammunition but at present time, we are unsure if this is true.

If your navies in the Black Sea come across the ship, please notify the Admiral Stanislav of the Black Sea Fleet. Do not attempt to board the ship as we are unsure of the number of men Stalin has aboard. If the Moscva fires on any of your ships, either naval or merchant, we give you the right to sink her at any cost.

We would also appreciate help from the Greeks in preventing the Moscva from sailing out of the Black Sea.
