Actually, the Nok of W. Africa developed an Iron Age civilization pre-dating the Common Era, making the Benin area well deserving of a green zone. The Chavin of Peru and the are date from the late Iron Age themselves, making the Andean Ridge and the Pacific Coast likewise deserving, although maybe of only a green zone. The first signs of advanced mound builder culture are quite old and date to the early Common Era, likewise with early Four Corners culture. Taiwan and Honshu, I admit, are debatable as green zones, but distinct and interesting situations could arise if anyone chose these as starting locations. Japan I see your point with since they did not develop a substantial culture until well into the Common Era, Korea however I intend to maintian since even though indpendent kingdoms took a while culture did develop there at an earlier point. Java, I guess, could be added, although wether or not they were the most developed, I am not sure, particularly considering that the earliest strong naiton in the Indonesian Archipeligo arose in Sumatra. Furthermore, I think that I will add a Persian zone or two before the final draft.
