I cannot see anything special about the contours when I blow it up 700% in my browser other than they don't match the color changes. I guess a Mars NES is next.

They're all solid black--not distorted, not partially translucent, not anything but solid and easy to manipulate black.

Actually no, it's not really anywhere near usable right now, it's simply to the point where it can finally be made usable.

I'm mostly showing it to flaunt my power; you'll never find a map of Mars in Winkel-Tripel format (or, likely, anything other than Equirectangular or Mercator), and you'll never find a single full-planet contour map either. Making it was... interesting.

I see the bit he says looks like northern Canada. There's a coast that looks like Quebec, a mess of contours that looks like the archipelago- and one coastline looks like the eastern coast of Greenland.

I was working on this some time ago, and was never terribly satisfied with it. It still isn't much good, but I figure if somebody needs a quick random map it might save them a bit of trouble, so it's free for use. Plate Carree projection, no defined scale.

Because MS Paint is not the same professional tool he used. Making the colors not standard or not functional.

Probably because the palette only consists of two colors. Try the .png it was just now replaced with.
