Actually my plan B, which was based on the assumption I would be betrayed. Basically, I was going to strike at allof FK's Colonies and initiate Conscription, however I felt safeish so I didn't follow it through. And of Course Mainland France was the bait.

Well I was assuming the less prepared FK would have devastated your fleets, making attacks everywhere for you very difficult, but wouldn't have been able to coordinate a counterattack within the year.

And wait, you didn't do conscription before/during your attack and possible struggle for national survival ? I don't think that was the greatest move on your part...

Wow.

What if das hadn't been hit by that car? ;)

You know, nobody cares that little old Greece was inadvertently maneuvered into going onto the Federate side, betraying the Persians (it wasn't as though I had a choice, though...), and invading Turkey...

How did that come out, anyway, das? The Turkish campaign?

I sent a good third of my army into Turkey if someone cares because I got info from Cleric and Greece, not from Iggy.
Why? I could have overpowered them.

Well if you don't want to mod this, then don't. make short summary about what happened, and then continue ITNES.

Oh people noticed Dachs ;). I'm still wondering what that secret project you've been spending 5EP a turn on is going to do...
It was just a "rebuild Greece" thing: more army, more civ leadership, more eco. levels...

I did spend two eco levels on raising huge numbers of troops this past turn, though. I was going to smash Turkey in a single turn. Apparently, since the FK sent a third of their army in there, I didn't need to.

Yes but since i was assuming a betrayel, his fleet would be concentrated in the English channel :/

Oh and i did start Conscription, das just forgot about it *shrug*

Restart ITNES?But but there is no revolvers in the ancient age.....

Gnnargh!!!

Okay, Thlayli, I'm still reading page 230 here, and I assure you that I DID NOT BETRAY YOU. I toyed with the idea, admittedly, but I've decided against it. I'm still on your side.

And the FK never offered me anything to join them. They'd probably just let me die, like they did last time when I gave them Egypt in return for their help.

Trust me, my people hate the FK more than they dislike Persia.

About my 'funny you should mention that post, I was referring to your betrayal of me, not my betrayal against you.

I wonder how much flaming will happen before I make it to page 234.

Heck we can even do a alternative history of this althis, some major turning points that could have gone differently IMHO

IMHO the thing that REALLY went wrong for Federate enemies - or, at least, for France - was that Kal'thzar decided to break with the traditional French strategy. Instead of just rolling over the land (where he could've finished off the HRE once and for all, after the Swedish invasion begun) and THEN making a serious bid for the control of the sea, he went for a risky invasion that, if succesful, could give him an instant win. But the way it turned out, he antagonized his allies (Sweden and Poland), lost his fleet and then was crushed altogether.

Had I been playing France, I would've crushed HRE and then attacked FK in coordination with Sweden and maybe Persia. Not sure if France could've beaten FK completely, IMHO its unlikely, but France certainly could've gained a more-or-less favorable peace.

Or how about this - instead of crazy South American military adventurism, Portugal could've helped France take out FK, in 1863 (when the Gaels were still fighting). Sweden could've helped as well, instead of invading HRE. IMHO that was the time when FK could've been destroyed. But its enemies failed to coordinate their efforts, and missed their golden opportunity...

But but there is no revolvers in the ancient age.....

If it IS ITNES I, then... well, maybe not revolvers, but something NOT completely different from them.

EDIT:

Trust me, my people hate the FK more than they dislike Persia.

Maybe Tasan Kemal does, but the people... are of a contrary opinion.

I think the thing that killed Poland was the several turns it was NPC'ed. But then agaiN Muscovy was also inactive for a while. I guess that evens it out.

All thanks to Iggy, I gather?
Ack! NONONONONO!!!

I've seen many betrayals, and even planned and carried out a few myself. But not like this.

Disgusting.

NoNoNoNo!!! Waah!!! I didn't betray anyone!!!

Cleric said:
*spins revolver* You could attribute it to him if you wish...
No you can't!!!

I didnt even know Iggy betrayed Thy, and never got any PMs from Iggy. In fact I sent a good third of my army into Turkey if someone cares because I got info from Cleric and Greece, not from Iggy. And then I get accused of telling Iggy to lie to Thy. Pisses me off.
Because I didn't betray Thlayli. And uhoh. Methinks Turkey is toast now. Thank you for the show of support Stormy.

Thlayli; Turkey were rotten gits who hated you, them doing this sucked and I hoped you learnt a lesson. You trusted to much, we've all done that, but this isn't even remotely like what happened with sheep, Iggy didn't write formally, but it was still acting as his nation...
We disliked you, but the threat of FK dominance was our REAL enemy. You're killing me here guys.

Oh, and Iggy was one of the few who remained loyal to the Orient, actually. That, too, probably became his undoing. This isn't a very good NES from the viewpoint of pretty much any morality...
Sweet Vindication!!!

After this one yes. Parhae returns!

He doesn't LOVE them, but he's an honourable man.

*****

To conclude, I'm deeply hurt. I've got too much morality to betray others, unless they really deserve it, which Persia doesn't. I'd have thought you'd have known that from my character in every NES I've ever played.

The flame war wasn't as big as I feared though.

the several turns it was NPC'ed.

Hmm? SEVERAL?

And Muscovy wasn't COMPLETELY inactive neither.

Suma Sumarum and Ad Awardum.

Iggy, personally i think you don't have that much of a right to complain about how FK didn't help you out. Frankly, you didn't do much to warrant your own survival by asking Das to NPC you or send 2 lines worth of orders in the most critical moments :p. If you tried your very best and the FK let you down, then fine. But when you let your own nation down like that...
