To confirm a common rumour, it is true that Krakow and the Russians have made peace. Much of Europe has been restructured by the powers of Russia and France.

And about the contentious issue facing us now. The 'Ottoman' guerillas found in Byzantium. Upon the discovery of this, I was as surprised as the rest of you. I can assure my people and foreign observers that I would not send forces away on such a foolhardy and poorly planned mission. Think what we may about the Byzantines, I would not lower myself to breaking a pact of non-aggression signed by my own hand.

So I immediately began an investigation. I am pleased to say that the answers appeared quickly. Frederick von Dunkleheit of the former Krakowian nation admits that he approached members of the Ottoman army and tried to sway them to Krakow's cause. Several veterans of the war which won Byzantine independance followed him, and they are now dead because of their actions.
