*The uncertainy is over who controls Jutland

das, according to your map I'm still in possesion of Jutland and Danzig :p But I now have control of Stockholm

To: Germany
From: Union of Scandinavia

While we need to consult with our French allies, we would be willing to sign a peace treaty with you on the following conditions:
1) You will aid us in expelling Russian forces from Jutland by cutting of their supplies.
2) A 10-year NAP and treaty of friendship will be signed.
3) You must officially recognize the Union of Scandinavia.
4) Compensation for damages and betrayal must be paid to the Union of Scandinavia totalling 1,000,000 Reichsmark (1 ecopoint)
5) You must recognize Scandinavian supremacy over the city of Danzig.

These are the demands of the Union of Scandinavia. We expect you'll find them extremely reasonable.

To Scandinavia:
From Germany:
We accept your proposal, sign it and is effective immediately. (if you have signed it already, if not it iwll when u too sign it)

lol, considering I spent 3-4 EP over 3 turns to finally get one EC to work, count yourself lucky and try again next turn ;).

Probably true. IDK, I just like having an explanation why. Other than penguins and polar bears.

OOC: China is pretty badly trashed after several years of war, and trade takes awhile and some serious investiture to come back after such a thing. As a random thought: they're on the coast, so sea trade is quicker and easier to reestablish.

The Union will sign it. We will make sure a proper treaty is drawn up. The easiest will most likely be waiting for France and then incorporating our demands into the larger treaty. We will, however, sign this here as a sign of our good faith.

i see what happens when i forget to send orders

The Russian Union requests an armistice with France and her allies to begin peace negotiations

The EUA, while withholding any agreement until the decisions and opinions of our allies the French and Japanese is known, looks with approval towards these peace overtures in Europe. We hope that the Brazilian Crown take note and also embraces the peaceful option.

good faith is what is needed, france wants to annex all of germany and take revenge upon its population

Oh, I'm sure France does. Does not mean that France will however.

I know some within Italy certainly wanted to annex all of Byzantium and take revenge upon its population, but cooler heads usually prevail in these situations ;)

The Holy League of Italy is also open to peace but will wait for its allies before making a final decision about anything.

What? Peace? noooooo....so will this NES go on?

This is pointless now, France regins supreme no one can challenge it, and it will remain like that for quite some time. There is no sense in continuing this now.

I am happy to say that my dog is doing much better now though.

I think a BT would be a great solution to the current stagnation. After all, if France and her allies win, this NES is essentially over without some stirring of the pot. (And it would be a rather anticlimactic end, too, since France has been ahead since the earliest turns.)

Autonomous Region of Tibet

While visiting the city of Lhasa in Tibet today, the Hanhua Emperor made a great announcement that was met by cheers from both the people of Tibet and China in the crowd. Tibet, which had long been one of the most loyal regions of the Qing Empire and had now been saved from warlordism by the Xin Han Empire, was to be granted autonomous status within the Empire. The Dalai Lama would be given control over the affairs of Tibet except in instances of particular importance to the entire Empire, at which point he would bow to the Hanhua Emperor and his succesors. Thus, Tibet would raise its own army and collect its own taxes and conduct its own trade while remaining a part of the Empire. It was a solution that seemed reasonable to all.

The decision, of course, had not come form nowhere. The plebiscite held by the Xin Han after taming the warlords of Tibet and restoring the Dalai Lama had indicated high, if not majority, support for independence in many parts of Tibet, and the Hanhua Emperor was eager to show the Tibetans that their opinions could make a difference. After all, the Empire was for all of China and all of Tibet, not only the wealthy trading cities of the coast. Clearly, it was in the interests of all of China and all of Tibet to keep the people happy.

Well this is getting one sided now...shows superpowered countries always win(NES2 V and VI)

But the fall of France would be rather... pointless. "Ooh, look Panda, you struggled for oh so long and all for nothing, we're essentially starting over!" I think it was a well played NES by Panda et al, and that das should move on to something else. Perhaps even... :mischief:

Shows superpowered countries with good leader usually win.

Besides, France wins, so what. Doesn't stop interesting events from happening in a BT.

EDIT: I am up for a BT or ITNES, doesn't matter.

OOC: That's rather an oversimplification. Given Portugal, Spain, and several other powers have been wrecked over the course of this game, one could hardly claim France had the world handed to it on a silver platter. Panda earned this power, and all this "Wah wah, superpowers always win" talk is really quite insulting of the play ability he has demonstrated in leading France to this point.

Calling for a BT in the middle of a war is also kind of silly. Even if Germany surrenders, that says nothing of Russia or Portugal, or that they would agree to terms even if they were willing to negotiate. If the war actually does end, maybe a BT then. Otherwise, it doesn't make too much sense, and is highly preemptive and presumptuous of actual events.
