Oh hai there, misters. :mischief:

you will be a popular girl

Make them fight for the right to give you the baby disease.

I THINK WE ARE RESTLESS FOR UPDATE.

I'm still wondering how conversations will happen in this NES. Obviously it would be a bit weird if we use for example:

From PixelGUY to PixelGIRL:

I would like to sign an open borders treaty with you :groucho:. This will be a great chance for us to become better friends.

OR...

From PixelGUY to PixelGirl:

Would you care to become my vassal? Any refusal means immediate war and enslavement. :groucho:

I think you are reading into it too much.

Day 3

Immaculate

The giant tiger outside concerns you greatly. You spend the morning in contemplation and meditation. You seek to ambush and kill the tiger, but instead you receive a vision; the tiger brings a balance of energies to the forest. You will not be hunted, so long as you respect this balance. By mid-day, you stir from your dwelling to find the tiger is gone, and all is well.

You do not really forage for food today, as you are too busy fetching plant fibres with which to make a linen blanket; nonetheless, you are able to snack on a few seeds and bugs. You have time to carefully light a small fire indoors before getting to a sleep; a little smoke that keeps bugs away. Thus you spend a very comfortable night at your dwelling.

You awake with 4AP (+1 well rested, although hungry). You see that the tiger is now on the beach, occupied with a the giant turtle-like creature that has come ashore to feed on coconuts.

Omega124

You spend morning and mid-day crafting yourself a new set of stone tools and making some warm clothing; especially useful, as the air seems to grow colder today. By the afternoon, you are ready to go fishing. You have good luck again today, and return to your campfire with as much fish as you can carry. You rest by the fire and are not disturbed during the night; however, you awake to find your fish leftovers have been stolen.

You have 4AP (+1 quite well fed, warm and well rested).

Merciary

The morning passes as you prepare a campfire. You are determined to hunt again today. Your target is the wild boar you have seen roaming in the south, and it seems a new hunting instinct stirs within you; stalking through shaded forest meadows, you are able to surprise a young boar and get a clean strike with your spear, piercing it through the heart - but breaking your spear in the process. With your adrenaline already pumping, it is then you look to the south, and you see – another campfire, and another human? A female. A rather Charming female. She seems to notice you, too. Time seems to stop. Your instinct is to approach, but - she is clearly armed with a spear. The moment passes, and caution gets the better of you. Having exchanged stares, you retreat to your campfire, dragging the young boar with you.

At night, the wolves appear again, predictably drawn by the smell of roasting boar meat. You stand your ground, and offer some meat to what appears to be the leader; while you are distracted, the rest of pack steals all that remains of your kill. All the wolves disappear again into the darkness, but not before the alpha turns back to look at you for some time. At least, you feel some progress has been made.

You sleep briefly, with vivid dreams of the day's events. You awake with 4AP (warm and well fed). You now have a boar skin with you, in addition to deer hide.

Lord_Herobrine

Today's fishing is not so good; it seems the most gullible fish have already met their end at your hands. But you manage to spear a couple of fish to roast by a fire during the afternoon. It is then you hear the death-squeal of a young boar nearby, and you notice another – human? - standing a little to the north. You acknowledge each other's presence, but he eventually backs away. You feel new emotions stirring. But with your injured legs, your instinct is to stay put. As night falls, you see fire and smoke in the north, and you know he is still nearby.

You climb a tree for protection during the night, and sleep somewhat uncomfortably. But you have managed to rest your legs during the day, and due to your hardy nature, the wounds have mostly healed already. You awake with 3AP.

Nintz

You spend the morning crafting yourself a fine stone-pointed spear. Today seems colder than yesterday, and bitter cold bites your skin. But during the afternoon, luck is with you as you go spear-fishing. You gain as much fish as you can carry, and as night begins to fall, you return to your campfire. Once again, you see another fire close by in the north-west.

As you are cooking your fish by the fire, the wildcat waiting patiently at your feet, an uninvited guest arrives – a giant tiger pounces on you! You are able to grab your spear just in time, and you hold the tiger at bay as you retreat into the cave entrance. You eventiually drive it away, but not before taking some painful claw-wounds to your body; it seems you came off worse in this fight. But, your hardy nature pulls you through the night.

You awake with 2AP (-1 wounds and exposure). Since the tiger attack, the friendly wildcat is nowhere to be seen.

Optical

Your day begins eventfully; a showdown with a large brown bear. The bear is more curious than aggressive, and decides not to challenge your stick-wielding gestures, leaving you in peace to go foraging. Braving the cold morning, you find some vegetables, roots and mushrooms, some of which you roast by the fire at mid-day. During the afternoon, you have time to craft yourself a stone spear. Keeping the fire going, you settle down for the night. The fire may well have saved your life; the air has grown ever cooler, and you awake to see a scattering of snow has fallen overnight. And once again, you swear you saw another fire to the south-east during the hours of darkness.

You have 3AP, but the constant biting cold and exposure is beginning to overcome your hardy nature.

In the morning, you feel inspired to build a small totem-shrine out of twigs and branches that are lying around. Your productive mood continues into the afternoon, as you craft yourself a spear. Though hungry, you are ready for rest as night draws in. The fox reappears, and draws closer to you this time as you rest by the fire. You are glad of the warm glow, for the night bears a cold wind, and is pierced by the howl of wolves in the distance.

You awake with a painfully empty stomach. You see bears fishing in the river to the north; the sealions have disappeared. You have 3AP (well rested, but hungry). You feel a positive energy in the air, but also the tension of predators moving into the area.

Again, you begin the day with meditation and prayer for protection. By mid-day, you continue to walk south along the peninsular. For a moment it seems your prayers have deserted you, as you have a close encounter with a brown bear. But on this occasion, the bear hesitates to approach you, and wanders off to forage on berries and flowers. You are free to move on. You find some berries and seeds to eat, then find a nice spot to build a campfire, sheltered by some pine trees.

It is then that you meet him! A human, somewhat dishevelled male, one who stirs something in your emotions. You approach each other, as close as you dare. You feel a spiritual connection with him, and are happy to share your fire as night falls. You both settle down in the branches of the same tree to sleep. You awake with 3AP.

Angst

The after-effects of yesterday's mushrooms hurt your head. But something draws you to the north-west. You stumble along until you find a certain clump of pine trees. It is there that you find her... Instantly, there is chemistry between you. You find certain words coming to mind, and are able to engage in conversation with this beautiful creature. She remains somewhat aloof, but as night falls, you both sleep in the branches of the same tree, warmed by the fire below, but still feeling uncomfortably cold from the elements. You awake with 2AP (-1 hungry).

Lord of Elves

tJsaY6d.png

This morning you venture a little to the south, but again pickings are rather poor. Wild grass seeds and a few insect grubs are all you can find to eat. You spend the afternoon chopping up tree branches, keeping in the shade. Getting into the swing of things, you accumulate two loads of useful timber. But before you can try to build yourself any kind of shelter, night falls, and you decide to climb a tree for safety. Again, the night brings cooling relief, but also brings the frustration of biting insects.

You awake with 3AP (-1 hunger, +1 Energetic roll), awoken by loud roars. A pride of lions is having an argument nearby..

North King

hGaOzQU.png

This morning, you have the inspiration to craft yourself a stone-tipped spear. This requires a trip back up into the desert plateau to find yourself some suitable rocks. By the afternoon, using your last reserves of strength, you are able to go hunting parrots. The mirthful avians do not seem to be aware of your violent intent. With a swift, lucky strike, you manage to spear one of their number. Biting off feathers and feasting upon raw parrot breast, you soon collapse back to sleep in the shelter of the tree branches. As night falls, you feel like some kind of otherworldly presence is stalking you, but are too tired to worry too much about it.

You awake with 3AP, to find a giant something stomping towards you across the plain.

Patchy

PNHBwYK.png

You set out to hunt some of the horned creatures using your sling. You score some hits, yet these are thick-skinned beasts, and your sling is doing little but scare them away. You then have to keep your distance as some large leopard-like hunter approaches. You are tired and hungry as the sun peaks overhead.

You spend the afternoon crafting a portion of linen from the tall grass, snacking on some seeds and insects to sooth your hunger. As night falls, you have a blanket to sleep on, though you are still disturbed by biting insects. You awake with 3AP.

Milarqui

zkfm4XY.png

You make yourself some stone tools by mid-day, ready to go hunting for deer. You are able to approach quite close to one of them, but the prey takes flight at the last minute, before you can swipe with your axe. You have no more luck as afternoon fades into night. You decide the best thing to do is rest up in the branches of a tree, having found only a few bits of fruit and seeds to fill your stomach. The howl of wolves carries on the cold night air.

You awake with 2AP (well rested, but somewhat cold and hungry).

Seon

O51eRjz.png

You do not have much strength left after the previous day's exertions. But you find enough strength to run from the approaching lions. The felines, who had only been half-heartedly stalking you, decline to pursue you over the long distance. Your hominid legs carry you to the safety of some trees in the south, though you lose your linen blanket somewhere along the way. Here you rest up, exhausted, in the company of some giant orangutan-like creatures in the trees opposite. They are are a comforting presence as you get some well-needed rest.

You awake with 2AP (-1 hunger... painful hunger).

theDright

You head eastwards under the morning sun, and find some rocks with which to craft yourself some stone tools. From the edge of the plateau, you survey the lay of the land – a seperate plateau rises in the east, and another in the north-east; between them, the great river flows as far as you can see. Grasslands stretch to the southern horizon, with lions roaming. The northern bank of the river also seems flat, dotted with hills and forests.

By mid-day, you are foraging in the shade of trees, keeping your distance from the giant ape creatures. You find enough fruit, vegetables and insects to hold off hunger for today. You spend the evening working on making a linen blanket out of plant fibres, working through into the darkness hours under the moonlight, the sound of predators in the distance keeping you nervous. You can rest for only a few minutes before the sun rises.

You have 3AP, but feel you will need a good rest at the end of this day.

After making yourself a spear, you go foraging for food. The mid-day sun beats down on you, the silhouette of predators on the horizon keeps you on your toes, and you do not have much luck. You retreat to a tree by the river as night draws in.

You awake with 3AP, rather hungry and sunburnt. A bigger problem is the crowd of crocodiles that are now surrounding the tree you are in...

J.K. Stockholme

whIz4Is.png

You spend the morning making a set of stone tools, including a sharp flint knife. With this, you set out to hunt some boar at mid-day. However, on this occasion, you are unable to hunt down your prey, as the boars keep bounding away over the hills and into the tall grass. Tired and defeated, and burning from the sun, you seek shelter in a nearby cave. You feel as if a spirit is whispering to you, warning you, and with good reason... As you begin to settle down, you are pounced upon by a sabre-tooth lion!

Instantly, you realise your small stone knife will not be much good. Fortunately, you have just enough time to get running, before those teeth and claws make contact. Your adversary is not built for a prolonged chase, and you are able to outrun the beast. You end up some distance westwards, where the green grass begins to give way to dry plains. You find shelter in a clump of trees, and have only a few moments rest before dawn breaks.

You have 2AP (-1 hunger, sunburn and exhaustion). You are approached by a rabbit, that seems to be acting strangely.

You are near a substantial river. The surroundings seem flat, apart from a few isolated hills, and a lonely mountain towering in the north-west. Another peak rises distantly in the east. The air is uncomfortably cold and breezy against your skin.

Popcornlord

Nj8sk2g.png

You are at a river mouth, teeming with fish, emptying into a large body of water – salty, judging by the taste in the air, and seemingly dotted with islands of various sizes. Cliffs bound the water to the north. Rocky highlands tower in the east. The west consists of rolling hills, and the south disappears into a dusty haze. The sun is strong, but the air is cooled by a north-westerly breeze.

The sun beats down harshly, and you are grateful for the shade of trees by the shore, as well as the gentle breeze coming off the waves. Large, verdant islands seem to rise out of the water on the southern and eastern horizons. Elsewhere, jungle coasts stretch as far as you can see along the beach. The jungle behind you seems to throb with noise and life.

Now – Day 4 Begins

Yep, no fatalities this turn, much as I wanted to kill people off :p But don't get cocky!

Player/trait/equipment list coming soon!

Please feel free to comment with ideas, thoughts, questions and suggestions, as well as orders for Day 4.

:salute:

Do I still have that spear though that I crafted last turn?

1 AP: Forage that mushroom at the bottom of the tree... along with whatever insects and grubs that I can find in the dirt as well.

1 AP: retreat back up the tree.

YAY! I'm IN!

  • Collect stones and sticks from the beach to craft a stone axe. (1 AP)
  • Run as far North along the beach, towards the Northeast, as possible. This, to me, is an act of communion with the spirits of the world. I will follow the guide of the spirits as I run, and hopefully they will lead me to something I can eat (Seeds, insects, easily killable animals, fish, whatever) and protect me from anything that will try to eat me. (1 AP)
  • When the night falls, Climb a tree, if possible, to sleep (1 AP)

Edit: Also, yeah... I'm enjoying the Music selection.

alex994 (Spiritual and Lucky)

(1 AP) Meditate in front of the totem armed with my spear and flint knife and ask for guidance on how to hunt the goats; ask for a sign
(1 AP) Hunt the goats to our east depending on how the spirits answer
(1 AP) Relight the fire and hopefully cook; offer some food to the fox, sleep with hides hopefully

No, kill the rabbit and get Arrow Gamer to bring you another animal for food!
