NESLife attempt #3

Poisonscaper: Neverwonagame3
Evolved from: Efficent Scaper
Genes (14): Mineral Eating x7, Pressure Resistance x1, Eating Dead Things x1, Disgusting Taste x2, Death Poisonx1, Survive Death Posionx1, Photosynthesisx1
Description: The evolutionary strategy of the Poisionscaper was to destroy their rivals. Tapping into the chemicals which created their disgusting taste, they left a venom in death which would hamper all rivals that took their former location except other Poisionscapers. They also began to tap, if to a very limited degree, the Sun's rays.

Ragoris: Nailix
Evolved from: Barius
Habbitat: Hebria
Survival Status: ?
Genes : Genes (39): Crawling x2, Plant Eating x4, Complex Stomach x2, Exoskeleton x2, Communal Behaviour x4, Water Retention x3, Lungs x2, Cold Resistance x2, Eyes x2, Walking x3, Brain Power x4, Live Young x1, Smelling x1, Vibration Sense x1, Hooves x3, Jaws x2, Parenting Instinct x2, Hibernation x1, Food Retention x1
Genes Added: Brain Power x1, Hooves x1, Communal Behaviour x2.

Description:
The Ragoris has the ability to communicate much better then what it evolved from, the Barius, which will enable it to survive preditor attacks, find resting/nesting areas easier, and find food and water much easier. This will also make it a much tougher pack animal as it's pack will be much stronger together then before. Their Brain Power is much better and with this they will be much more smarter and combined with their tougher hooves and social abilities they will be a stronger force while defending their pack and young. Lastly their hooves are stronger which will enable them to walk on tougher terrain, scale mountains easier, fight back easier and walk longer distances with less chance of a hoof cracking or anything that would cause to much pain for them and have to stop and most likely die.

I have to agree with everyone else who has posted regarding your update. The art is gorgeous and the 'story' is very interesting as well. (mostly i like the art though- its very pretty.)

Take the land saurs, and make dinos... I will need some land animals to herd and use as moving animals when I become sentient.

Jubblera Senti Gigantis: TerrisH
Evolved from: Jubblera Senti Graspis
Role: complex, swarming, flying omnivore
Habitat: warm/temperate vegetation
Survival Status: Swarming!
Genes (44): Eating Dead Things x1, Crawling x1, Complex Stomach x2, Water Retention x3, Eyes x2, Flying x3, Smelling x2, Cold Resistance x1, Communal Behaviour x7, Plant Eating x2, Digging x1, Brain Power x5, Parenting Instinct x2, Hive Construction x3, Insect Eating x1, Jaws x2, Flesh Eating x2, Grasping Limbs x2, Chromatophores x2.
New Genes: Lungs x2, Internal Skeleton x1, Exoskelaton x1
Description: the flourishing Nestlands, home to trillions of Jubblera. and into this fertial Landscape, dozens of new Jubblera species were born, adapting to the internal pressures of the Nestland and competing with each other. one of the more successful ones was the JS Gigantis, which simply grew larger then it's competitors. supported by both an internal and external skeleton (though the external was more of an armor), and with a greatly improved system to intake Oxygen, it was nearly twice as large as the other Jubbleras, and had a faster reaction speed. there is evidence that they did subjugate hives of smaller Jubblera to serve them.

OOC: the exoskeleton is only simi-functional, and is more of an armor then a supporting structure. point of this is to make a larger sized Jubblela.

Could I see the Mouthvalion descendants Iggy?

Thankyou, and thanks for the new evolutions!

I've made some minor edits to remove wierd sentences etc, just so you know.

The pictures were experimental, I was trying manual shading and various filter effects (I don't have photoshop, but something similar). Hopefully they aren't too ridiculous :)

Damn, so god damn... thats amazing!

The following story probably isn't funny despite trying to be. But I'm practically only doing it to make a try for the story bonus...

Walking with Scapers
("Walking with Dinosaurs" music plays, as various forms of very similar Scapers appear on the screne. After about ten seconds, the music stops. Cut to the open sea)

The sea... a place of life. Few sentient creatures walk... er, swim the depths of this vast ocean, but they live a relatively good life. By contrast...

(A woman shrieks, and a noise like the rumbling before an earthquake as portrayed on the Simpsons dominates. The camera appears to be moving down very very quickly, until it suddenly reaches the bottom)

The depths. Most creatures, even of the sea, cannot even survive here, let alone fight for life. But it is in these dark waters that the great heroes of our story lie. These are the heroic champions of our story...

(Cut to a picture of a Scaper. It looks rather boring)

(Cuts back to "Walking with Dinosaur music")
Catch us next week on Channel 77 live! The heroic story begins at 9:10! Don't miss it!

Evolution for Hebria, though airborn spores might make it to other continents?

Spoiler :
Woody Fern: tuxedohamm
Evolved from: Sprouty Fern
Role: small hardy land plant
Habitat: warm/temperate land
Survival Status: Thriving
Genes (26): Photosynthesis x6, Cold Resistance x1, Hibernation x1, Carpeting x1, Water Retention x4, Airborne Spores x3, Mass Reproduction x1, Leaves x3, Roots x2, Regeneration x1, Fast Growth x1, Stem x1, Bark x1
Description: This descendant of the Sprouty Fern has begun sending up stems covered lightly in bark to gain a height advantage over its warmer climate rivals. It has lost some of its carpeting tendencies to avoid competition with other Woody Ferns.

Deciduous Fern : tuxedohamm
Evolved from: Woody Fern
Gene added (you can add 3, or 4 with bonus): Photosynthesis x1, Hibernation x1, Fast Growth x1, Stem x1
Gene removed (optional, remove up to 3 or 4 with bonus):
Description: Some ferns on the northern and southern edges of Hebria adapted to the change in seasons by focusing their growth during the warmer, sunnier months of the year. As the daylight became shorter and the days cooler, the Deciduous Fern would begin hibernating and would drop its leaves so it would no longer have to support them during the colder months. It would then regenerate new leaves as the days warmed again. It compensated for this loss of growing time by growing faster while it wasn't hibernating and growing taller.

Just as a request, would you mind wiping out all terrestrial animal life on say, Hebria in the next mass extinction? Pretty please?

:p

EDIT: Are the animals on the various continents going to "diverge" from now onwards?

Gliding Kakliea: bestshot9
Evolved from: Strange Kakliea
Role: complex, versatile, climbing, predator
Habitat: warm/temperate vegetation
Survival Status: Competing
Genes (42): Complex Stomach x4, Flesh Eating x5, Vibration Sense x3, Eyes x3, Brain Power x4, Skeleton x2, Cartilage x1, Jaws x2, Fangs x1, Communal Behaviour x1, Water Retention x2, Lungs x1, Walking x1, Climbing x3, Parenting Instinct x2, Live Birth x2, Fur x1, Claws x1, Stealth x1, Digging x1, Nocturnal Vision x2, Wings x1
Genes Added (4): Flesh Eating x1, Wings x1, Climbing x1, Live Birth x1
Genes Removed (2): Walking x1, Communal Behavior x1
Description: The Gliding Kakliea of Hebria, which evolved from the Strange Kakliea living on that continent, could be considered even stranger then the Strange Kakliea, as this is a Kakliea which has grown a rather large flap of skin between its arms and legs that can, when needed, jump out of trees, spread its limbs, and glide from treetop to treetop. It is believed that because of this, many Gliding Kakliea rarely touched the ground. Since they were now mostly confined to trees, it is doubtful they found walking much of a use and their skeletons now show that, as their leg bones have become lighter and would inhibit their ability to run very fast or very far on them, should they find themselves on the ground. However, this only helped them be able to glide further and climb quicker. They probably hunted other things that lived in the trees, but could just as easily have hunted small animals on the ground, if they could get the drop on them and there was no larger predator around to steal the food from them. It is also thought that because of their more confined habitat, they began living in smaller social groups, so they would not have to compete as much for food and living space.

OOC: I noticed on the stats, you have the Barius listed as created by me, which I didn't think I created, didn't Nailix make the Barius?

Cool stuff :D

I can't handle huge numbers of species, so its more like the new land species are going to be limited to one continent or another, at least for a few turns.

He did, thanks for pointing that out! I wont bother re-attaching the stats for every problem, but I've edited my copy for next time.

Instead of making more NPC's then player species, why won't you let us make 2 species :p?
