Holy carp, that's a massive file, one I can't load on my current connection. It gets down past Dentochordata then just stops.
 
@OathinBlood, that looks sweet!! Though it is kinda small now (too small to read the names). Was it bigger before?

@everyone, update by the end of the week(end). Ive kinda gone overboard with the NPC species again and spent some time on them.

It's MASSIVE in it's original form. I could've resized it bit by bit, but honestly, that's a lot of work, and I spent a lot of the day just making it already. Heh, I'll try to get it at a better size soon. Also, I've been in this thread before, but only briefly. ;)

I'll get to making more for all the other things.

Oathinblood, I noticed a little error in the evolutionary tree you did. Thlayli's two latest eels are reversed in order.

Daft I think NPC's shouldn't be so numerous. Unless made or suggested by players as well...

For example each person is allowed, beside one evolution with details, to describe another animal but not name it, or show what it's new genes are, and you could use this details to make NPC's (even several people's details to make one which should lead to some interesting beasts).
 
Disagree. There's very little point to that; might as well let people evolve two species then. Which I'm all for.
 
Well yeah, but he says thats too much...

My problem is that I feel jealous that he gets as many evolutions as he wants :p yeah yeah I know it's his NES... I wish I could do one of my own, but I can't... So... :p
 
I think it's great that Daft adds the NPCs he thinks should be there, it means he can flesh out niches that for some reason or other doesn't attract a lot of attention. Letting players suggest evolutions would just be silly, and not solve that problem at all.
 
Well.. I would evolve into many more niches if I had the chance to leave my species unevolved for a turn and be sure it's not going to die out...
 
Oh, I have an idea: give an award for something that grants them two evolutions!

Good idea.

Granted, you'll see even fiercer competition for awards than there is already. Perhaps out of the awards that are given regularly now, Daft would assign each a number and roll a die to figure out which award will be given the two evolution bonus.
 
Oh yes, you haven't added the Crimson Slasheel yet. Sorry, I forgot that it hasn't been properly updated yet.
