NESLife attempt #3

Erez 87... Dinosaurs? Give me credit! I moved the scrapers farrrr inland (and the original still survives!)
Well... We can have different dinos! you can get the Meat and the Ol's will take the rest!

Note, Dinos have eggs, and upright standing (balancing x2? or balancing tails x2?)

All dinosaurs did lay eggs, but not all of them could stand on two feet. I could do a lot of examples, but triceratops is the first one to come to mind. Dinosaur is a broad category that has something to do with everything descended from the last common ancestor of some more modern animals (modern in evolutionary time, not in historical time).

OK, I have all the new creatures drawn and stats sorted out. I will write the actual update tommorrow.

Does anyone want a preview of the new piccies now?

I dont think there should be a seperate gene thing for upright standing/balancing. For those creatures that have 'walking', and four legs, you can just say if you want it to start walking on two legs. But only those creatures with walking x3 or more will be able to do it well.

Yes as I understand it, birds can be counted as dinosaurs too...

Descended from archosaurs.

Pics would be great. And yes, birds are the last surviving branch of the dinosaurs.

AFAIK Some dinosaurs evolved and became birds, doesn't mean that modern day birds are dinosaurs though, anymore then we are small mouse-like creatures.

I just haven't had time today to finish the update to any kind of standard. I'll post it as soon as I can tommorrow (doesnt that sound familiar )

edit: update now posted on next page.

Yay, nice to see progression, how long does it take to make such cool critturs?

Thanks, well I guess it took about 5-6 hours altogether to draw those pictures, beleive it or not. I could go back to very basic, but I have more fun adding a little detail, and it makes it more fun to look back on. Its quite theraputic to draw them. I think im getting a good balance between simplicity and detail at the moment.

Cool pictures Daftpanzer! I look forward to seeing what effects the rise of the Liandrel had on our little planet!

the squinaria is an interesting animal

Anyone else hear Ponduryte and go;

'pon da river 'pon da bank?

No? Jus me then :creep:

hey would it be to much if i asked someone to post all the carnivores, herbivores, and plants? just wondering so i know what my species is up against. oh yeah and where they are located

Just read the stats? Or wait for the update, it will show the ecosystems of specific continents.
