Karnak Temples 21

Smithsonian Institution 12 (15-3) a ww? definition: ww = spectacular manmade structure. This nice House -> NO.
St. Mark's Basilica 23
Tomb of Antiochus I 26 (25+1) mountain with huge stone heads. This will look great on the map.

Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University 17
Cairo Citadel 18 + 1 = 19 (This thing looks distinctive, amazing, and has the storied reputation as Saladin's citadel. This of course is ok since Civ V featured Machu Picchu, which was Pachacuti's estate (and other leaders could build it))
Chrysler Building 22
Cliff Palace 22
Cothon of Carthage 15
Gyeongbokgung Palace 25
Karnak Temples 21
Palais des Papes 19
Qorikancha 8 - 3 = 5 (What is even left of this place? Do we even know what it was supposed to have looked like back in its heyday? While a golden temple seems fun, I don't know what bonuses it would get other than economic gold generation, and there are plenty of other wonders that can stand for that.)
Santa Maria del Fiore 32
Smithsonian Institution 12
St. Mark's Basilica 23
Tomb of Antiochus I 26

Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University 17
Cairo Citadel 19+1=20 I think Morningcalm gave the best explanation here.

Karnak Temples 21
Palais des Papes 19
Qorikancha 5
Santa Maria del Fiore 32
Smithsonian Institution 12-3=9 The other places are more marvelous.

Cairo Citadel 20
Chrysler Building 23 (22 + 1) -- Don't be a square; this place is the bee's knees.
Cliff Palace 22
Cothon of Carthage 15
Gyeongbokgung Palace 25
Karnak Temples 21
Palais des Papes 19
Qorikancha 5
Santa Maria del Fiore 32
Smithsonian Institution 6 (9 - 3) -- The building is dull; the National Museum of the American Indian is much more impressive and I still wouldn't call it a wonder.
St. Mark's Basilica 23
Tomb of Antiochus I 26

Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University 17 - 3 = 14 This is the oldest university in the world according to UNESCO and Guinness World Records, this is the reason I have avoided giving negative votes to this before. But I still do not think that's too impressive on the map.
Cairo Citadel 20
Chrysler Building 23
Cliff Palace 22
Cothon of Carthage 15
Gyeongbokgung Palace 25

Qorikancha 5 + 1 = 6 Bumping this one up for being a partial inspiration for El Dorado
Santa Maria del Fiore 32
Smithsonian Institution 3 - 3 = ELIMINATED Just because it's featured in Night at the Museum 2 does not justify it as being a world wonder
St. Mark's Basilica 24
Tomb of Antiochus I 26

Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University 14
Cairo Citadel 20
Chrysler Building 24 (23 + 1) -- Beautiful building, need more modern wonders.

Cothon of Carthage 12 (15 - 3) -- Again, I'd rather see it as a unique district.
Gyeongbokgung Palace 25

Cothon of Carthage 12-3=9 - I'd rather have Cothon as a unique district for Carthage. Also, we already have the Great Lighthouse and the Colossus as a Classical Era naval wonders.
Gyeongbokgung Palace 25
Karnak Temples 21
Palais des Papes 20
Qorikancha 6

Cothon of Carthage 9
Gyeongbokgung Palace 22

Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University 14
Cairo Citadel 20
Chrysler Building 24

Gyeongbokgung Palace 23 (22 + 1) -- There are probably better selections for Korean wonders, but this one will do in the meantime.
Karnak Temples 22
Palais des Papes 20
Qorikancha 3
Santa Maria del Fiore 32
St. Mark's Basilica 22 (25 - 3) -- There are better choices for Byzantine architecture; the most noteworthy thing about St. Mark's is that it was plundered from Constantinople and rebuilt in Venice.

Karnak Temples 22
Palais des Papes 20
Qorikancha 3 - 3 = ELIMINATED Other than being a partial inspiration for El Dorado, it's not that notable
Santa Maria del Fiore 32 + 1 = 33 Why is this never buildable in a previous Civ game?

Palais des Papes 20-3=17 it's the least appealing to me
Santa Maria del Fiore 33
St. Mark's Basilica 22+1=23 @Zaarin wait a minute the problem with your statement is that you're saying the whole structure was in Constantinople and was taken away brick by brick which is so not true. Before it gained it's indipendence, the republic of Venice was part of the Byzantine empire, that is where the Byzantine architecture comes from, however the architects that designed the church got their inspiration from a church in Constantinople. at the start was only the doge's palace's church. What were really plundered from Constantinople and were brought to Venice are the equestrian statues on the top of the church, some marble pillars like the ones on the dock side of the square and a marble sculpture that is now located at the Main door of the basilica. I just wanted to correct you to defend this church.

Cothon of Carthage 9-3=6 - I'd rather have Cothons as Unique Districts, and there is no need for another Classical Era naval wonder.
Gyeongbokgung Palace 23
Karnak Temples 22
Palais des Papes 17
Santa Maria del Fiore 33
St. Mark's Basilica 23+1=24 - There is never enough of Venice! :crazyeye:

Palais des Papes 17 + 1 = 18 This building is one of the most important Gothic buildings of the Middle Ages. It was popal residence during the 14th century, playing a very important religious role at the time. Also, this building would be great on the map. Great religious wonder? bring me. Gothic wonder? bring me. Wonder full of history? bring me.
Santa Maria del Fiore 33
St. Mark's Basilica 24 - 3 = 21 I prefer that each of the main Italian cities receive wonders. While Venice already has the 'Venetian Arsenal', I think this can wait a bit. Then bring me the Santa Maria del Fiore. And St. Mark's Basilica can wait in line to be served later.

@luigilime I'm aware that Venice was part of Byzantium at one time (and that Byzantine artisans were sometimes employed in Western Europe, for example at the Basilica of Aachen), but I still feel that St. Mark's significance chiefly comes from its being plundered from Constantinople in the Fourth Crusade (moral of the story: never ask Rome for help after seven centuries of feuding; you're better off facing your enemies alone--Byzantium might have lasted another century or two if it weren't for the "help" from the Fourth Crusade* :P ).

*Yes, I'm aware the entire Fourth Crusade got excommunicated for sacking Venice and the Church never condoned their actions (though one notes they didn't return the relics, either); it was a joke.
