Coney Island 2 - It is a wonder, and we need an Industrial Era entertainment wonder. I'd like to save it, but it would be futile.

St. Mark's Basilica 22+1=23 - I'm obsessed with Venice. It's so beautiful.
Teatro Amazonas 8-3=5 - @Xandinho, I know that it's impressive that such theatre exists in the middle of jungle, but I'm afraid that it's just not necessary to add another Industrial Era theatre right now. I'm not against more theatre wonders, but first lets fill the other eras with them.

Caral Pyramids (5+1)=6 Represents a long ignored center of civilization? I'm in! It's an Andean pyramid, and there are many more of these from later cultures. A Pyramid is almost a universal structure across continents. People were observing and revering the sky.

Caral Pyramids 7 (6+1) One more life for those. I don't think there can ever be too many pyramids in a civ game. And I also think they are distinct and impressive enough. I mean, just look at them. They don't resemble Egyptian, Maya, Meroitic, Canary nor the Teotihuacan Pyramids. Caral is an amazing place and if you visit Peru without going there, you've probably missed the most impressive site the country has to offer (that includes Machu Picchu in my opinion). The problem is that Firaxis designers seem to love (outdated and romanticized) 19th century reconstructions when displaying wonders and such are not available for Caral.
Chrysler Building 24
Cliff Palace 21 (24-3) While it looks really nice and is indeed an accomplishment for the 'medieval' natives, I have trouble to understand why it should be a wonder.

Caral Pyramids 7 - 3 = 4 Guandao is really interested in them, but they do not interest me more than the other names on the list. The Andes really need more representation, Machu Picchu and Sacsayhuaman can be included as wonders. But these pyramids fit better as an improvement for the suzerain of the city-state of Caral.

Teatro Amazonas 5 + 1 = 6 Same reasons as before, two theatres in the same era do not seem to be a problem so great to the extent that it is falling now.

Coney Island 3 +1 = 4. It certainly was wondrous in its heyday. It would look great on the map being full of color and detail.

Coney Island 4-3=1 what I account as a wonder is a marvel that remarks the achievement of humanity in many branches, what does Coney island stand for? How flashy lights and a rollercoaster can make it on a list like this.lets end this already it's not even famous outside of America

Chrysler Building 22 (21 + 1) -- A beautiful Art Deco skyscraper; we need more modern wonders.

Coney Island ELIMINATED -- I agree with @luigilime, this isn't even a wonder. It's not an incredible feat of architecture or a profound statement of philosophy or theology. It's a theme park. Great for a UI, but it's not a wonder.

It's a profound statement of philosophy: the philosophy of providing entertainment to the masses and how gaudy it can be to some; consumerism plays a major role in the development of theme parks

If I feel like observing a monument to the low points of human consumerism and materialism, I'll watch television commercials. :p A wonder should be edifying, not depressing. :p

Well said.

There's a reason why Times Square isn't a wonder (and it's not only because it forms the southernmost part of the Broadway district).

More like, the middle class had so much more free time and wealth thanks to industrialization that people could build whole areas just to entertain them and make a profit. If Ruhr Valley can be a Wonder, Coney Island sure can.

That's why I don't agree on Ruhr being a wonder. It's not even a definite building. It's just represents the industrial core of Germany which isn't a wonder in my eyes. But probably it's just my European instinct. I don't know

But Zeche Zollverein counts as a wonder imho. It's one of the most iconic Bauhaus Style buildings in the world. It's a very influential style of architecture and 'indoor' architecture. Without it, we would live and build different today. And the big red thing over the shaft that we see in civ VI is also an iconic building of Zeche Zollverein. So I think it's just the name that's wrong.

Teatro Amazonas 6-3=3 - Although interresting and nice addition, I want theatres of other eras first. Adding another Industrial theatre would be redundant now.
