Well as I continue the game it just seems to be getting out of control without great person expenditure. I think it’s just safe to say it hasn’t be fixed at this point.

in 273 turns I have never had an air unti disappear from a carrier. Only city’s and airbase tiles so there’s that.

I'd need a savegame. I tried to reproduce using your method to no avail.

Can you give me a step-by-step on github?

Feeback from turn 330 of the same game. Epic speed, Emperor difficulty as Morocco. Huge Continents Plus map script using Really Advanced Setup with 12 civs and 24 city-states. Ruins and events on, Community Events mod.

There are lots of wars going on, people declaring all over the place even with defensive pacts active. It's interesting I guess. I like that I was attacked (and not half-heartedly) by my neighbours The Songhai, and then my other nieghbours Brazil in concern with a civ that I had denounced - China. Although I'm winning the war and have captured one of their cities I had to switch my gold/production to full-on military to do so which helps China. Austria started on their own little island though with lots of city-states aruond and more or less was able to develop without interference so I wonder if some of the warring civs are wasting resources fighting people who are less of a threat. There seem to be relatively few cities captured. On the other hand, the AI is offering me defensive pacts which is fun! At least I'm not fighting on my own. I still think a cap on the total number of defensive pacts is warranted (either 3 or something that scales with map size).

Of 11 other civs, the policies are 6 Authority, 3 Tradition, 2 Progress. The two top civs (apart from me) are Authority China and Authority Austria so it seemed to work well for them! On the other hand, the two bottom civs are Authority Venice and Authority Huns... so it's kinda hard to judge. Progress border expansion seems totally fine IMO. And Equality for Progress is excellent.

I've got used to stone on hills and such, I can live with that. I do still think that stone seems too common for a resource that gives +10% production of realy wonders. In this grassland-start game I have 32 local resources in my territory and 10 of them are stone, with another just outside by borders. The next most common resources are 8 fish and 6 cattle. Half of my stone resources (5/10) are from a smallish desert area on my border.

The game feels good overall. No bugs that I've noticed excepting the recon units having tourism text which I've just ignored so far. The main thing that was strange/off is the very slow religious founding. India founded well early as might be expected, and Tradition Greece grabbed the second religion pretty competitively as well (with Open Sky which feels very strong tbh). Founding early definitely gave me an advantage. Austria has only 5 cities but has a nice area of religious influence to themself. On the other hand, China didn't found and is still in second place and India founded but is doing below average.
There was another weird game where one of the AI all of a sudden had a horseman despite not having any horses, I guess he must have bought a horse from someone

The AI are offering to buy strategics very early in the game so that is quite possible :).
- CS asks me to discover new lands. Is it a new quest? Never had this one before. Problem is I discovered a great deal of land but progress is still at 0%. Is it a bug or do I misunderstood the purpose of the quest?

Not a new quest, although it's not the most common. You need to explore the area around a particular tile. If you click on the crosshairs icon of the city-state quest it should direct you to the area. There will be 1 tile already revealed at the centre :).

@JamesNinelives , were the AIs protecting their ranged units properly? I do this know what preceded that screenshot labeled Warfare, but I the Brazilian canons seem awfully exposed.

They are. I had just taken out their melee units :). A bunch of knights hit my lines and took out one of my cannons in the next turn though! Here's a few turns later:

Also, Venice just lost their capital to China! I think Venice is not probably not happy with all this fighting, even after taking Authority ^^. I gave them 4 horses and 4 iron for free (they had none) but I guess that wasn't enough!

Edit: OK, this is too much. War can be fun, but war all the time is tiring and dull. Also, I'm at war with 19/24 city-states. Doesn't feel good. Aaaaand Austria just sanctioned me so no more trade for me.

Spoiler Here we go again :

Spoiler Austria is a pain :

I am producing more great generals than ever before, so I guess that's something. The AI is also much better at protecting it's borders than before. I used to be able to snipe strategics and luxury resources with recon units but now they're protected.

I tried Maya just to check how OP it is in this version..and I guess Council of Elders and Maya on Pangaea (Huge, Immortal, 16 civs) are not balanced. I was a tech leader from Classical. Founded and enhanced first. Went with Synagogues and Churches. Enhanced with Orthodoxy.
I went Great Library to Philosophy, Oracle to Education. After that I got constant stream of production and science from CoE with Orthodoxy, every turn 1-3 cities convert to my religion. Turn 172 I converted most of the Pangaea, and have 6 votes just from religious authority. It helped also that I started in the middle of the continent. My first WC proposal is my world religion which is likely to succeed.
Wonderwhoring pretty hard taking most wonders and expecting to enter Industrial around t180-190. I just want to see how fast I can win, it's the easiest game I played.
Aggression - early on I had some minimal military and my neighbors were friendly or neutral to me. Later when we started having territorial disputes my small defensive army was already far ahead in tech. It's funny that no neighbor bothered to declare - only civs far away. It's almost like they can only DoW with no consequences for them. They also were declaring left and right to each other. The whole world was in chaos. So increased aggression can work for the player, slowing down the world development and providing easier runaway for a peaceful player.
They also were more passive with city states. I could have many allies and friends.
The AIs expanded slower than before, but in the end had good number of cities.
I really liked having more resource tiles for my cities in this version.
Regarding trade, I think selling an Embassy for 150 gold is a bit too much. I always wondered why AIs buy embassies if they don't have intention to use advanced diplomacy options. It's a huge money drain for them with no positive effect. Early game I relied on selling strategics same as in previous versions, it was working well. Some AIs are ready to pay 500 gold for iron later, when they are really desperate - that's when you "cash in" but it's very rare. This game most AIs were broke the first half of the game. I guess they have too many armies which is draining their budgets.

You could be right. I assumed it's a way to monitor what your capital is building.

My feedback for this version, based on playing ~100 turns with Progress Inca and a domination victory with Zulu on deity. Tradition / Statecraft / Imperialism / Autocracy with an incense start for an early religion of Hero Worship + Orders + Veneration +Zealotry

The AI:

The AI on this version is better in the mid game and late game but weaker early, because of the removal of the bonuses on founding. The AI is smart about declaring war on weak or overexpanded players. It's aggressive and good with diplomacy and tactical AI. The AI is a bit prone to go authority, and to mix up policies compared to the past.

I'd dial back the choice of authority, the variation is nice but there was a game where all of the AI went authority. It does mean that going tradition or progress early and not building an army when the AI is authority is a thing of the past. The AI will punish you.

The religion race is greatly changed, as the AI is now founding about 15 - 20 turns later, except for civs with bonuses to faith production. This is due to the changes to the faith CS, as well as the removal of the starting bonuses for the AI. For Deity players from past patches, this current patch should feel easier, because its easier to set up religious combos.

Progress

Feels in a good place, Equality is now responsive, so there isn't a happiness trap.

Zulu

Zulu are fun. The buffalo line is meaningful, and the +2 xp, and the ability to get promos after finishing the Buffalo line means that they end up with a line of infantry that is quite strong. I generally went Buffalo Line - March - City Assault - Stalwart - Overrun - Cover II (most of my infantry were upgraded from Swordsmen) - Drill line. March was

Anyone else having issues with strategic resources being listed as exported when you no longer have any active deals with them?

Did a run with Russia with this update,

The AI is sending out WAY more trade requests now. They seem to much more desire strategic resources and place much more value on them. Playing Russia (I randomly got them), I pretty much always had a massive gold in take because of this. I think they are probably over valuing them though, as I was getting requests for 50/GPT for 10 horses or in that range often.

Was the barb spawn from unhappiness changed? I dipped into the "zone" briefly and had 8 barb knights spawn around my capital, had more spawn before I could clear them. I don't recall it happening to this level previously.

Edit: Notice unhappiness barbs much more around the AI as well. So I think they have been adjusted to spawn more often?

Still can't trade cities back to their original owners. (fully healed cities)
Example:

Not sure when or why this changed because about 4 updates ago this wasn't an issue.

You mean strategic resources previously traded not being returned when the deal ends?

I noticed a weirdness with missing resources not being counted correctly, was going to look into it more before reporting it. This might be it. I have had previous games where my resources just seem to disappear into a black hole before, and wasn't sure if it was that old random bug or something new.

Edit: Looks like it was reported

I think strategics should be valued very dynamically. The ones you REALLY need (e.g. you're in the negative) should be valued like now (upward to 5gpt each, SCALING), and the value should decrease afterwards, towards ZERO for the ones you don't need at all (e.g. coal before industrial, already having 10 excess coal, etc.)

Luxuries should be valued IMPOSSIBLE if happiness is above a certain threshold AND there's no plan to expand AND there's no CS quest/WLTKD request for that luxury resource. Which is what a human would do.

I was eagerly waiting for the next beta and here it is ! I went for a relaxed game so went for King (usually I'm playing on Emperor or Immortal) on a Standard Pangea/Balanced start position/Epic pace/Raging Barbs. Rolled a very good central Italy environment with hills.

No CTD so far outside the Advisor screen (pressing V crash the game).

AIs are very timid. Maybe Barbarians scared them all. I went with Authority for a very domination centered game as Rome should. Managed to find a religion as second and grabbed Order and Hero worship. AIs went 3 Progress, 2 Authority, 2 Tradition. Anyway they left me founding 9 cities undisturbed. I kicked Attila outside MY lands in Ancient.

No bug so far. AIs spamming with trade requests as soon as they are available. Dynamic playing, many wars raging starting in Medieval.

Easy game i think: planning to conquer the whole East (Babylon, Assyria, Brazil and Songhai) leaving Huns, Poland and Arabia last.

After event -"Protect CS for 20 turns or it will be sacked" when I defend it for 20 turns, after turn 0, I have 3 units close to city, 3-4 CS units, no barb units, but CS still get captured by barbs, who appears out of nowhere

Shouldn't they appear every 5 turns or something? Maybe one of them hid somewhere else for the last 5 turns?
