New civ hint - analysis

Is there any chance of this being Srijavaya?

Also, regarding possible unique resource cubs, I'll add that it /could/ be Indonesia/Majahapit with batik. But yea I think Venice and glass might be more likely

I don't suppose there's any use in pointing out that the evidence for Venice was exactly as circumstantial as the evidence for Italy, and that Indonesia/Majapahit (if that's what this is) does not confirm that Venice is in over, say, some other European civ we haven't even been considering because we've been focusing so much on Italy vs. Venice. I agree that the evidence is strong, but to say that it must be them because there's no one else left is a stretch.

I kinda doubt Venice will be the European civ. It'll be somebody unexpected like Ukraine(would be nice to see the Kievan Rus' in Civ), Romania or it's principalities, Scythians, Sarmatians or Sicily(the Norman Kingdom :p).

This is such an awesome Civ! So glad it's in! Almost certainly wanna play as this one!

Lol, the only reason I want Canada is because I love hockey more than anything in the world

Too bad you're stuck with the Avalanche :mischief:

EDIT: I made sure to look at the picture before reading everyone’s comments and I thought it was a Native American civ. God, I suck at this little game.

Definitely not giving as much away.

To be fair, a lot of people thought it was a Native American civ over at the Facebook page and elsewhere. You have to have been exposed to Southeast Asian culture to recognize that the little details are distinctly SE Asian (building in the back, armor on the arm)

(and I'll admit, Avs are just plain bad. But they have some amazing young pieces in place. All it takes is Seth Jones and a good coach and it could be 3-4 years by the time the Avs are a force in the league)

But wasn't the building in the back blacked out originally until the Photoshop crew cleaned it up?

tbh don't know if the people on the facebook comment pages are trolls or morons....

You know what, the building definitely convinces me. The details on the leader could be from plenty of Southeast Asian groups (including Vietnam), but the building seals the deal for me. I'm putting Indonesia at 99% now.

Now I have to wonder what Civ6's SE Asian civ will be.

Indonesia is most definitely in!
I cannot say how happy I am!
I wonder who their leader will be Hayam Wuruk, Raden Wijaya, Gajah Mada or someone else.
Tribhuwana is not their leader, sadly.
This makes me worry Maria I will maybe be the only leader.

Indonesia is much better than an Italian civ for sure. The only real regret this forum seems to have is the lack of the Pueblo with this expansion. The civs otherwise have been great

I mentioned this before in another thread, and nearly got beheaded for saying so (including insulted for being an 'ethnocentric facist'), but I truly hope it is Majahapit, and not Indonesia.
