Mansa Musa, it seems like him.

The Khmer and the Siam sound quite the same to be both in the game.

Indonesia is most definitely in!
I cannot say how happy I am!
I wonder who their leader will be Hayam Wuruk, Raden Wijaya, Gajah Mada or someone else.
Tribhuwana is not their leader, sadly.
This makes me worry Maria I will maybe be the only leader.

Tribhuwana would have been great as a female leader because she was one who could hold up a candle to any male leaders

But it's really hard to say between Hayam Wuruk, Raden Wijaya, and Gajah Mada

What about a Chola Empire/Tamil leaded by Rajendra Chola who conquered Srijivaya?

It is Gajah Mada:

It almost looks like he has a moustache painted on his face. My asian history is awful; is there any precedence for a painted-on moustache?

It could be Raden Wijaya too, we don't know for sure... (pictures in the OP)

Damn, I won't lie the first image of him does look just like the leader. Especially the head piece.

edit: NVM there are two different movies.

I don't know nearly as much about the Khmer and related empires.

How do we know it's not one of their leaders?

Edit: Because Khmer (and other Southeast Asian empires) has very similar architecture and armor. I mean, technically they are distinctly different from one another but through a silhouette it's not clear

Hairstyle would very much indicate otherwise toguheld, it's a perfekt match for Gajah. Sure he doesn't look as beefy in thise paintings, but that wouldn't be the first leader they'd sexed up a bit.

Edit> but admittedly so is picture in OP ... Someone posted a painting later that didn't match too well though.

There's been much more support for Indonesia I believe, and also the possible conflict with Siam. But no way to know for sure.

The blacked out building on the left looks like the Wringin Lawang for the Majapahit rather than Khmer architecture like Ankor Wat.

As I've mentioned a few times already I could even see a Vietnamese leader here, though an ancient or medieval one.

Still I think Indonesia is the most likely and the one I'm betting on at this point because it ties in with the games themes and because it's ebeen in demand for a while.

Also, the picture leader doesn't have a beard like Raden in that picture. However, Raden did found the Majapahit Kingdom and doesn't seem to have a beard in any of the other pictures. Are their any Indonesians on this forum that can put in their two cents? Who is more popular within Indonesia?

I'm gonna go with Raden Wijaya. :)

Gajah looks like a bigger man in many pictures and statues. The mystery portrait has a smaller build and looks like he has a more defined jaw line.

That building they purposefully blacked-out definitely looks like the architectural style in that region too.

Yeah, Raden Wijaya is starting to look like a lot more like the leader. Also, since he was the founding father of the Majapahit Empire and defeated the Mongols he could be a good contender:

Both are amazing, but I would say Gajah Mada

a knife, a crown(?) with stretching top-ears, a yellow scarf?
and there's something over the crown?!?

So it will probably be named Majapahit rather than Indonesia too, based on the leader apparel, etc.
I like it :)

Have just been reading the comments on the picture on Facebook... jeez! It's like they're not even looking at the picture :crazyeye:
