I have never played this game, but what I'm specifically referring to is the "dance mode". When I first saw this I thought it was one of the many star wars parodies on the internet, and I thought it was a well done parody- I must admit, I even got a chuckle out of this. But I was shocked to see this is an actual official star wars game, that is even "lucas approved".

I mean... as a joke it's alright, but if this is "official" it's unbearably stupid. The game has got low reviews across the board, but what I'm referring to, is even worse. That is, this "galactic dance mode" makes me die a little inside when I watch it.

That was actually sort of entertaining.

Better than all three prequels combined at the very least.

I didn't think the prequels were particularly good movies, but even they were not as unbearable as this IMO.

I just checked the Wookieepedia page; apparently, the events of the game conclude during Revenge of the Sith, so I'd be willing to bet that Galactic Dance mode is non-canon.

Though I do agree with Skwink; I laughed several times during 'I'm Han Solo'

Nope those brief shots of a dancing Hans Solo had a far better grasp of plot, pace and dialogue then any of the prequels XD

This is funny, but isn't actually true- and that's coming from someone that is not really a fan of the prequels.

The prequels were in my opinion, an average movie. a 5 out of 10. Right in the middle of the bell curve. Compared to the original star wars movies (perfect 10 out of 10) the prequels are terrible, but compared to any other average movie given at any time, I think the prequels are simply bland and average.

But where as the prequels doesn't particularly strike me one way or another, this is just terrible. Bobba Fett, Han Solo and Stormtroopers are serious characters, and they shouldn't be doing this kind of dance. It just shouldn't happen.

Well I was only joshin' you brah (using your american lingo here).

I disagee with Hans Solo as a "serious" character, in the original trilogy he is amusing, especially the relationship he has with Princess Leia ;p

He has his funny moments, but nothing like this. Just my opinion.

I'm pretty sure Star Wars stopped taking itself seriously when the Empire was defeated by Ewoks.

Why can't they follow their dreams of being famous dancers?

Why does the term "lucas approved" imply any form of quality control?

Personally, I think if more Star Wars fans learned to dance, and if more club goers watched Star Wars, that the world would be a much better place. So I heartily approve of this, and I hope that it will teach white people to dance.

It's funny, lighten up you old grump. Star Wars is overated anyway and the original movies aren't that good.

May I remind you of the Cantina scene and its atrocious music? This makes dancing games basically canon ;)

I've never understood how Star Wars in any incarnation can be seen as "serious". All of it was quite silly, right from A New Hope on. One of my main complaints about the prequels is actually that they take themselves too seriously, with all the political drama, Hitler allusions and Anakin's whiny "fall to the dark side" story.

Why does the term "lucas approved" imply any form of quality control?
It only implies "there's money to be made".

As they say, to jar jar is better than to war war.
