Something is terribly wrong with AI in 4.19:
- Then this happened. He tried to expand and sent a settler with a spearman. But he was too late and another civilization settled a city right under the nose of the settler and spearman. The game pushed the couple away from the newly occupied territory but what's important the game split the settler and spearman. I don't think the game should do that, it was a free gift for me and I captured the settler.
I saw the same settler split when I bought the tile they stood on.

New release inbound to fix the vassalage issue. Cannot reproduce the tactical AI issues, please make an issue on GitHub once 4.19.1 comes out imminently.

I thought you couldn't buy tiles when occupied by enemy units
You can for Barbarians, I believe.

A tile isn't being bought here, what's being described is the unit being teleported after a city is settled next to it.

Version 4.19.1 has been released. Link in OP has been updated.

Changelog:

Code:
- Fixed massive war score changes when two or more major civs are at war with the same major civ at the same time
- Fixed another City-State influence bug
- Fixed vassal military levy (on era change) spawning ships in small lakes
- Fixed the Liburna texture so it's no longer invisible when moving
- Fixed an error during map generation
- Compressed the largest promotion atlas files, saving about 60 MB of space (thank you, balparmak!)

Online as of 4:33 PM CDT. Savegame compatible with 4.19 releases.

Unable to Select Founder belief or any beliefs and Found Religion will open on Git if needed downloaded latest 4.19.1 and installed today

Aren't Pathfinder's promotions still too OP? Even playing at a Huge map with a standard pace, it's too quick to reveal 1/2 of the whole map in the Classical Era.

PLayed about half a game so far as rome. Everything seems to be working fine. Ai is doing a decent job at war.
One thing ive noticed is the ai appears quicker to declare war on me.

I am being an overly hostile neighbor and making their lives miserable. But in previous versions a much weaker civ woulsnt declare war on me by themself.

But i am forward settling. Spreading my religion to other founders. Stealing tiles through citadel and competing with city states. Oh also sniped a couple settlers.

So this is probbaly a good thing that they are declaring war despite being beneath me.

I had a war against China. Greece declared a couple of turns before against them, too. I have killed a lot of Chinese units, but I don't get the "We fought together against a common foe" diplomacy bonus with Greece. Was this changed and I forgot, or is it a bug? Since diplomacy got reworked a bit, I thought it might have something to do with this.

Yeah, fought alongside the French against Greece and haven't gotten the Diplomacy bonus. Unless I'm mistaken, this shouldn't be right. Or rather, in more recent versions I received the bonus in both cases.

Ai not being able to defend cities, possible also units (have been able to finish more units off than usual). Rather bad, but other than that I haven't seen any issues.
It would be great if you could add some saves, logs, and screenshots to the Github issue below when you notice AI not defending as well as it did in previous versions

Following the above report, my understanding is that Ilteroi made some changes so hopefully the AI gets better in the next hotfix.

I feel its a bit up and down, I rolled china in current game but rome (authority) is really feisty.
Maybe non authority AIs are fooled into agression they cant handle?

So I have not been playing 5 for a very long time but decided to download and play the latest version yesterday and get some play in. I have played a few game starts and so far most everything seems to be working well except that Barbarian spawning seems to be completely out of control. Like I kill one camp and 3 more replace it, I mean I guess that Authority will be pretty strong for a while, but the barbarian spawning seems completely insane to me.

I am playing on a standard map with low water levels (so more land), but the barbarians are spawning like 2 tiles outside of my cities and each city has at least 2 camps around it no matter how fast I clear them.
