I weep for the world.
Socialism isn't winning anywhere. There's just a few last gasps against being reduced to serfdom going on.
I weep for the world.
The opposition has not recognized the results. Seems like the fraud was more blatant than usual.
It's remarkable that even with all the intimidation going on, with the army making threats and Maduro calling opposition voters traitors, Venezuelano still went out and voted for Caprilles.
Internationally, only the dumbest of the dumb will keep endorsing chavismo.

Really? From you, luiz, that is a compliment. I can't argue with that "logic."Internationally, only the dumbest of the dumb will keep endorsing chavismo.
I just love these threads. It invariably brings out those who are still fighting the Cold War.
I wish Venezuelans had better options. Maduro sounds like a clown, but I can't bring myself to think he is a worse option than Capriles.
Lol what? What makes you say that?
The coalition of interests Capriles represents wrecked Venezuela and have generally put a torch to things in Latin America since independence. I'm not going to trust the first handsome guy that comes along and promises social democracy.
Maduro on the other hand seems to be doing a fairly normal political strategy. He is hoping to capitalize on Chavez's death, playing to that base since he only needed to capture at least as much (or close to it) to win. I don't condone what he said on the campaign, god knows I was hard enough on Romney last year, and I think it breeds unnecessary antagonism against opposition voters...but like I said, I can't bring myself to actually hope that Capriles wins.
Evidence or shut up.It's remarkable, really, that in spite of the opposition being overtly supported by the US, the NED and millions of dollars of money and CIA expertise, that they can't pull off a presidential victory over a Socialist bus driver.
Like what?Like you, for instance!

I might as well claim that you are paid for by PSUV to post this sort of crap on internet forums. In fact that is more likely than Carpriles being paid by the CIA, given the fact that some South American left-leaning governments are known for paying people to praise them and bash their opponents on the internet.
I never said Capriles was paid by the CIA. I said "in spite of the opposition being overtly supported by the US, the NED and millions of dollars of money and CIA expertise, that they can't pull off a presidential victory over a Socialist bus driver." US money with CIA expertise. USAID = CIA. Or have you not seen Blood of the Condor?
I, by the way, am a 24/7 UNPAID volunteer. Or do you only cite my posts to attack me, amigo?
Like many Latin and North Americans, Luiz thinks the only good communist is a dead communist. That virtually anything is justified in this fight to end evil socialism.
Not really. I am not the one endorsing a candidate who run a campaign based on homophobia and anti-semitism. I am not the one endorsing a candidate that calls opposition voters traitors, and curses them.
Maduro is a perfect fascist, and that makes you a fascist apologist.
Like what?
You certainly do enjoy posting absurd strawmen of others' actual opinions.
Neomega said:The results also show Venezuela is split enough to be destabilized and carved up by the corporate interests that feel they are entitled to the petro-reserves of Venezuela.
AHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Your source is called the Chavez Code!
How is USAID funding the Venezuelan opposition in their political efforts, exactly? Answer: they aren't.
