I can understand a modicum of reluctance by LOTR people to go after another LOTR person, but only a modicum. The evidence being circulated proves that he is Sauron. Sauron poses a direct and imminent threat to the safety of me and other SW people in this game. For LOTR people the threat would not on the surface appear quite so direct, because there's the SW people to kill off first, I suppose, but those that are happy with letting an imminent danger to the safety of me and other SWers continue to exist, seem to be making themselves a danger to my safety. So on the one hand we have someone who is 99% certain to be Sauron (an accusation met with "uh...let me survive not only today but also tonight so I can think up something!"), according to the evidence being circulated (I gather a number of other people have received it too), and on the other we have wild stabs in the dark at who Palpatine or Dooku might be, without a shred of evidence. The people going with the latter over the former would seem highly suspect if not for the fact that it seems to be everyone LOTR.
Which probably means some sort of manipulation by the LOTR cult, which then feeds back into my point about imminent danger. There actually is imminent danger to LOTR from Sauron. LOTR cult looks to be weakened, and looks like it will lose. Yet if Sauron survives today, he will have an opportunity to convert one of the convertible LOTR people, taking them down with him. If you're converted, you lose. You're a dead player walking. It's as good as being killed. I hope those members of the LOTR town who are convertible have thought this through.
