If you had voted earlier i.e before dcmort, then Nintz would have swung due to the tie mechanics. I'm sure its just bad luck rather than you tactically hiding because your Sauron and allowing visor to swing.

The thing that confuses me about the SW town giving up is that we've had 11 deaths so far, 5 SW and 6 LotR. Given that 1 or 3 neutrals exist (makes sense to balance the two towns), SW outnumbers LotR with at least 2 confirmed SW killers, possibly 3, and 1 LotR killer (who claims to be a neutral). By killing off the suspected cult leader in Backwards Logic, a balance of power still exists between LotR and SW, but the SW town maintains a chance of winning in their own right instead of guaranteeing that SW cult defeats SW town.

But seriously. The notion that we can only win by joining SW cult is ridiculous. There is a near even balance between all of he groups, so it is completely plausible for anybody to win at this stage of the game.

Well, they were all going to win, weren't they? Isn't that the point of these games? Sure, SW town move, great. Awesome in a vacuum. How is the SW anything supposed to win now? You got a unified LotR side, with one identified Cultist. The SW side? Not so much. They'll pick each other apart trying to figure out who's converted or not, while you 'help' because you got nothing more pressing to deal with.
This game is very similar to Capo. Everyone has a choice of who they can side with. He chose the townie side. Except that side won't win. It's pretty much spelled out at this point. You now have vote superiority and the vigs are essentially even, if not in your favor as you don't have townies trying to stop their Cult. You guys have the lynch, you'll soon have the night. That's just the facts.

I don't know, call me old fashioned, but I believe in playing a role to win, and that doesn't include accepting conversion as a townie. I've been given many a role I hated, but always tried the play the role the way it was spelled out in my role pm, if I'm a townie the cult is my enemy.
But, whatevs.

I have to agree. If it said on our role PMs that we could become scum if we put effort into it like in Capo, that'd be different, because that's the way the game is supposed to be played. Actively going against your current VCs in favor of ones you might get later on makes me want to stop not breaking the ToS.

"Of course, of course not. I was going to say... um..."
"That's what I thought. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go execute him."
Zaccino walked over to Backwards Logic and unsheathed his sword.
"Just out of curiosity, do you - by any chance - have six fingers on your right hand?"
Backwards Logic looked up in confusion. "Do you always start your conversations this way?"
"That is none of your business!" Zaccino exclaimed as he chopped off Backwards Logic's head.

Everyone had started to file out, but suddenly stopped when they heard a rumble.
"Son of a Balrog..."
Somewhere distant, Kerwig the Racist bristled at this exclamation.
"That's no space station..."
"Especially considering it looks nothing like a space station. Also, what is a space station?"
"What is anything, but a collection of increasingly smaller and smaller particles?"
"Are you sure you're speaking... whatever language we're speaking that is somehow mutually intelligible?"
Meanwhile, as the two buffoons continued their insipid discussion, the rest of those present were desperately trying to flee from the Balrog.
Nintz tripped over a table during his sprint to the exit. "What a lame plot device! I am not that clumsy!"
Unfortunately for Nintz, this made him easy prey for the Balrog. A simple *whip* and the demon had Nintz by the ankle, dragging him towards his end.
"I was supposed to be the Chosen One! I was supposed to bring balance to the Force, not leave it in darkness!"
"I have the high ground, Anakin."
"You can talk?"
Visorslash looked on in awe. "He can talk?"
"I believe I can fly!"
"I thought your 'wings' were figurative?"
"Maybe he drank a Red Bull."
"I was inspired by the soundtrack to Space Jam!" By this point, Nintz was lying at the Balrog's feet. "Come on and slam, Nintz!" The Balrog picked up Nintz and snapped his body in half - it was quite gruesome to witness.

"Were you inspired by Stevan Seagal, too? That one-liner was terrible?"
"It's cause I'm white, isn't it?"
"You're not even white? And Larry's white, so what?"
"Larry's not white. Larry's clear!" And the Balrog cracked his whip towards Visorslash, who deftly dodged it.
"You think you can kill me? I am strengthened by the Triforce of Power, and I grow stronger every day?"
"You wanna play a little one-on-one, doll?"
"Why do you keep quoting Space Jam?"
"Because I'm a monstar!"
Once again, the Balrog cracked his fiery whip, but Visorslash caught it in his hands and pulled. Stunned and caught off guard, the Balrog stumbled forward towards Visorslash.
"Those Monstars'd wished they'd been never born?"
"Why do you always speak in questions?"
Ignoring the accusation, Visorslash swung his fist into the Balrog's face, sending him stumbling back right after he had finished stumbling forward. Visorslash pressed on the attack, furiously beating his fists against the Balrog, driving him back. He unsheathed his comically-oversized sword and prepared for the killing blow, but the Balrog swatted the metal slab out of his hands.
"You ever heard of the Dream Team? Well, I'm the Mean Team, wussy man."
The Balrog threw Visorslash across the room, who unceremoniously thudded against the wall, then slumped down to the floor. Visorslash struggled to get up, but the Balrog gave him no quarter.
"Wait'll I get you back on Moron Mountain!"
The Balrog took hold of Visorslash, holding him tightly in his hands. "Any last words?"
"I'm Ron Burgundy?"
The Balrog ripped Visorslash's head off. "Go **** yourself, San Diego!"
"Woah there, fella. This forum is PG-13! Tone down the gore and the language!"
The Balrog ignored the imbecile, and left to return to his home underneath the Mines of Moria.
