NutraNESIV.5: Fantasy Remastered

@Popcornlord
Thomas ruined the world.

Since a few players wanted it I will give a synopsis of the greater events of this update. Specifically two events that lead to the major one:

During the Agortal wars against the Northern Leagues and the Malachim-Greymark war on the Kruurbag Bragaash they used some pretty powerful geomantic magick. Specifically they used earthquakes.

Now, the use of these magicks were wildly successful and resulted in the victory of the Agortal-Bladvenn over the Northern League Bladvenn and the victory of the Malash-Malachim over their Bragaash foes. An unintended consequence of this however was that they triggered a series of massive earthquakes all across the entire world.

That's all I've got to say!

edit: I really have to say though, it was pretty serendipitous that two completely separate players would both use earthquake-inducing magick.

Me? nah. was ALL DAS. I swear. I only tried to build a Labyrinth. With Magic. crafted from the foothills of the mountains themselves.

Ah, forgot about that.
I suppose re-starting right in the middle of the chaos would be fun.

Lurker's comment: That sounds like giddy fun, Thomas.

You tried to build a Labyrinth. With Magic. Sounds like magic of that finesse is still a little beyond the nations of Kore.

Yep! One thing I purposely neglected to mention (but will in the revamped handling of magic, so as to avoid anymore El-Or-wide devastation) is that magic is powerful as heck during this era.

Remember when you asked if you could rip all the celestium from the mountains, thomas? Your mages are capable of that much, but:

A) All your mages would probably die in the process
B) Tear out a new continent-plateau-thing, much to the detriment of Kore
C) Rip open enough of Kor-Fiol to cause most of the nations/peoples be swallowed either swept away by seas or descend into El-Or's mantle
D) Piss off things that should not be pissed off

But I'll stop being such a tease.

Look forward to update 2! It'll come someday.

While I dislike the fact you are going to have 3 NESes at once...

I wanna be D!!!

Oh God no, dude. I would wait for IV.6 to finish at the least. I started it with an end-point in mind.

God, Nutranurse, you are being so Cruel! Updates are fun!

And how about Forging, from the Celestium, a large flying city to carry my people from this dying world :p Using magic to shape it as it comes out. :p

Edit: What is the end point? ;)

It would make for an interesting NutraNESV, though.

Well, as mentioned above IV6 has an 'end-point' in my mind (though it may come earlier/later depending upon player actions), which, by my estimates, would come sometime during the summer (though given the current passage of time between updates it may happen in the fall).

If IV6 ends for some other reason (lack of player interest, computer explodes, me waffling about) I would go back to IV5 immediately after I finished tinkering with the map.

Definitely for the immediate progression. Looks like I'm getting a new influx of Ikkir again. I have my own world destroying in mind ;)

The secret stats are also favorable for me. I have my plans for this change... It will also prevent players from attacking weak neighbors without first checking them out.

If you are fundamentally changing the map, it might serve to have us migrate due to the earthquake. Rather than just playing like the old map never occurred, it might be better to have a new era. In this sense, we might have 1 turn of immediate time to prepare for the inevitable migration. 1 last raid to prepare? set out immediately to have first dibs on new land? stay behind and loot what is left behind? Do the Dohtel find new sea paths? Do the Ikkir find new caverns and horrors beneath the earth? Do the Nadoros race across the riven landscape? Do the Telmar make a trip via Between? It might be interesting.

Please be nice to them :3

Well given how devastated Kor Fiol becomes I like the 1 turn to prepare for the migration (choose a direction, pick your means, etc.) and 1 turn to talk about the decade or so it took find new homes or adapt to the changes in your old one.

Nomadic elves scouring a post-apocalyptic fantasy wasteland sounds rather interesting. I think I might stay, if we can.
