Octafish

Happy new year!

Bath: I've got, at the beginning of the turn:
1220ad = Hereditary, Bureaucracy, Slavery, Decentral, Organized Rel
1230ad = Represent, Barbarism, Slavery, Decentral, Organized Rel

Something should have happened during 1220ad turn. As you play after me, was your 1220ad file still ok?

Happy New Year!

Right now, pbemtracker is down, so I can't check.

However, last time I looked, both Kenwyn and Kiwitt had replayed their 1230 turns, and a new save had been uploaded for Count.

So, we were waiting for Count to play his new turn and send it on to you.

Here is new turn from tracker:

If you click on 'View Turns' link, you can see the multiple uploads for the 1230 ad timeframe.

Tracker will always show the latest game date first, so a 1240 for first player trumps any later replayed 1230 turns for anyone else.

Thanks, must admit I've never looked at 'view turns', it's always loaded on my turn for me.

I've played and sent the new 1230AD turn, apologies for the delay

I hope all is well with Ken - sending Octafish - 1250 AD

It is with heavy heart & head that i must announce my retirement from Civ'ing.
As a new year's resolution i HAD to give up some recreation to allot time to other (ad)ventures.
Civ was it because it is becoming clear to me that the joy of "beating" others is not charge for me. Make Love, not War.
Beating the AI is 1 thing, defeating (or being defeated by) other humans = not fun.

So as much as i hate to do it & leave these very interesting contests, i must.
And the only way i can break the habit is to "cold turkey."

I will advertise for replacement(s) & can still take turns for awhile. Would like to leave on good terms with all U fine gents & great leaders. :hatsoff:

Sorry to hear of your retirement and best wishes on the path you've chosen to take.
 On to you or your successor ... Octafish_AD-1260_to_Kenwyn

There is a chance that Ricketyclik may shortly be respawning at the opposite end of the continent to his original, somewhat circumscribed, location.
This would be after a few PC issues have been cleared up.

On to or through Octafish_AD-1270_to_Kenwyn

Another Greek city falls before the mite of the Magnificent Mali Military! :ar15:

Echt of the Vikings, congrats on your success so far against the Greeks! :goodjob: We should define our respective goals as we draw closer to elim'g the Greeks. (specifically: who gets/wants Bactrian & Rhodes)
Plus it looks like we may have to redefine our shares of the E isle. (perhaps N/S rather than E/W?)

A PM or EM indicating your thots/desires/goals. We should do this before next 2 turns & my stand down from leadership herein.

Kenwyn, Bactrian has already fallen to our Cuirassiers. Concerning Rhodes, I don't know. Perhaps, it could belong to the one who conqers it first...

Regarding the nearby Isle (E), I agree to your proposal. I just might want build one more settlement on the Eastern coast, and away from your cities.

Island division = deal. Sounds reasonable & logical.
As for remaining Greek cities: i believe Rhodes should be Mali's for the taking(tuff nut that it is). I'v invested ALOT in surrounding it + it fits into Mali territory logically. Sparta^ is yours + Echelion (since it is becoming apparent Chas' Persians won't be joing in to take it given, the tuff war he is having with Peter's English*).

Despite all the fun, Hoping to be replaced herein within next several turns.
Trust U will honor long term agreements we (& your forefathers) worked out.

^ why did he use a GG on a crossbow(!?); ah-hh the AI, SO dumb at times. :crazyeye:

*Note to :king: Chas: there is a stack of elphnt+4 HAchrs+4tribs ESE of Sparta on their way to U. If they try to flank U via Mali lands, we will close borders to stop them.

Have you seen a PM from Ricketyclik asking for your password ?
He might be re-spawning in the East...

Also, don't know about your geography, but be careful in case closing your borders simply catapults them into Chasbolt's land.
