Le déluge!
Usually, if I'm inside, I like the rain. But not today. ![Pissed [pissed] [pissed]](/images/smilies/pissed.gif)

7 days of rain? Unheard of here.Rain.
Rain expected for next seven days
From the wildfires? The air pollution from the smoke came back and drove my allergies crazy again. I spent most of yesterday in another benadryl haze and I'm over it.
Today I checked again. Again, next 7 days, rain is expected7 days of rain? Unheard of here.
Yes, they still are not snuffed out. Depending on which way the winds are blowing, we get a break for a couple of days, then the smoke rolls back in. I think every year I've lived here the state breaks records on the size of wildfires, year over year. It just gets worse and worse to the point now where it's had big, tangible impacts on my daily life for almost a month. My apartment may not be burning down but I have to plan my week around the fires to a large extent. From the wildfires?![]()
That sounds really nice and I can't wait for temperatures in that range. They keep promising a break to our heat but the best we get is a couple of days in the mid 80's and then it's back into the 90's. I think I read we're in a La Nina weather pattern which means a generally dry, warm winter. That's bad for forest fires right now, but also potentially good for forest fires next year as the lack of rain means less plant growth that can burn next year.59F/15C at the moment. Both neighbors got their heaters on. I’m wearing sweatpants, no heater. Window’s open for some airflow.
You people think this is cold? The summer may have been a bit much for me this year, but now we’re on my turf!![]()
