PH19: The RNGod Must Be Crazy

Ran Dumb is a blind god, occasionally beneficient but its Dumb Luck.

T42. Our worker starts chopping a forest, among the woodchips a shaman discovers 16 beakers which help towards sailing (don't ask me how, just believe :worship: ).

T45. The forest is chopped, double whip and a settler is born.

T46. Settler>warrior.

T47 Warrior>warrior.

T48 Warrior>WB.

T49 Sailing> Hunting. We're officially skint, our nascent empire is at Poverty Point:
ph19a10001.jpg

T50. Stonehenge built somewhere else.

T51. Taoism spreads!
ph19a20000.jpg

That's enough luck for this set.

alright ~ nice set, pigs.

i think we have two options in the 36 turns until the objective is up. Found two more cities *somewhere* and cross our fingers. OR, get Monasteries and Writing and spread it to the foreigners.

Go hunting>AH>writing (OB).

Build city at deerfish.

Monastery in capital.

Send WB exploring, maybe find another city or two and hope for religion spread that way.

I'm very sorry for delaying this, but all this holiday business kept me from playing. I should have known! Anyway, not much to report after 20 turns. I researched Hunting and AH and settled our 3rd city. Unfortunately no spread to it. After Writing came in I opened borders to Washington of Arabia. As I've built a Randomism Monastery in our cap we should be able to whip out 2 missionaries in the remaining 19 turns and fulfil our global objective :) .

good turns Immy. I think we have the objective well in hand (he says before they crash and burn).

oz, no personals yet.

also, oz, i think you should play 19 to finish out the turn limit on the global objective.

alright, i'll take this after i play the other SG im in.

:bump: :bump:

[had this a couple hours ago, but the server was busy]

sorry for the delay, but have been a bit under the weather lately ~ so, here's my devotion to the RNGod...

started off with a request from Asoka Babylonian:
Civ4ScreenShot0000-16.jpg

I accepted as any spread of the Divine Word is awesome ~

with that in mind, i whipped the two missionaries ASAP just in case we were frowned upon by Him/Her/IT and denied a the religion spread. First, we got medina
Civ4ScreenShot0001-11.jpg

(photo taken too late)

Then Mound City:
Civ4ScreenShot0002-10.jpg

And so, with our first Global done (with a bit of extended time), I stopped playing so we can recieve our next round of instructions. Here's the glorious empire of Randomism.
Civ4ScreenShot0004-9.jpg

For techs, once Masonry came in, I went with Pottery>IW. Pottery for cottages (obviously) and IW so we can hopefully settle by a metal.

I also didn't realize this was Normal speed!

Global Objective:
01) Found Religion
02) Spread our religion to three cities: Completed, t081
03) ???: t081-???

We need ruff to roll up a new Global and turn limit.

We are also starting Personal Objectives, so please roll one of those, too, rolo.

Seeing our available land I think war with the Arabs is inevitable. We better have Iron...

The RNDGod looks down on the little civilization of Randomness and is pleased(?). He causes a wise man to catch a fish and examine its entrails. There the wise man finds answers to some questions that have challenged the people for some time ...

rndgod0001.jpg

And so it is pronounced that it is hard to please the RNDGod. More tasks should be attempted and met.

rndgod0002.jpg

The RNDGod is an easy going God ... and the future should shine upon the people of Randomness.

rndgod0003.jpg

However, the people of Randomness should remember not to forget the RNDGod and his moods.

And with that a second fish jumps out of the river and lands at the wise man's feet. It flips and flops 35 times and then spills its guts in 2 groups, one with 4 twists and one with 5 (2nd Global Task (1d6=4, 1d6=5)). The wise man understands this message as:

20 2/36 Capture a city with new resources [2]
