Pharaoh

Mice, what version of BTS do you use? Do you use Solver's patch also? Any other differences? Your save crashes everytime I try to open the turn log ...

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I installed Blue Marble yesterday? But it shouldn't!

slobberinbear, do you have any crashes? Because I saw that you use the blue marble as well!

I have seen a location on the Nile near the fertile grains and the herds of wild horses. It is also near hills for mining in Pharaoh's glory.

(If our culture expands, the site 2S 1E of the rice gets both the rice and horses.)

Hum, I *think* 1E is better, and it also locks a bit our lands. But, if people north declares war on us, guess who gets the first blow hehe.

If I may inquire as to Pharaoh's plans for the Great Engineer?

(A rush-built wonder (say, the Statue of Zeus or Parthenon, something that isn't a stone wonder) would be great in VoK or the Nile city, for culture and the other effects).

It is in your hands, Metahu. Don't overlook the Nile and the hills to the south and west that I described. The city could be mighty -- an ample food source and a wealth of production.

Argh, do we really need horses? :crazyeye:

a voice that some call The Oracle (although she giggles when they do) is heard to say:
"You are Egypt. You need horses."

then after a giggle, the wind is silent.

Spoiler :
gosh mice could you be any more bossy? *giggle* good luck and have fun!

I saw now that you use BUG mods..Did it suppose to be compatible with vanilla?

So many good spots that shall be lost because of the horse...

Ah well, if we do need horse, then maybe 2W of horse? Or 1E of rice?

EDIT: I guess 1E of rice is better?

Make the decision without being influenced. It's your dynasty's founding city, no-one elses.

Pawelo agrees with governor Slobathep, though his (advisor pawelo's, not governor Slobathep's) advice regarding cities is secondary.

Alborn I took BUG off and played a turn then attached it in the post above. See if it works for you.

Where I live it's very late. I hope it works for you .

Sorry for the delay. Checking your save now.

EDIT: WAIT to settle my city until I see the save first.

Pawelo advices still 1SE from the fertile grains. This way we can still have our egyptian workers use two nile tiles to the south.

As a non-governor foreign advisor, Pawelo notes also that this way we can integrate easier frog-eater territories through our culture when comes the time to cross the steel.

Anyway, Pawelo acknowledges the sovereignty of governor Metahu and relies on his wisdom as a ruler.

Metahu is confused. And he does have a headache.

< I can't think with a baby crying >

I'm going to close the roster so we 3 governors and 3 advisors.

Governors get 2 cities then we include the Throne room advisors (rolo1, pawelo,50_dollar) as new governors.

In the event of war I would like r_rolo1 to take the save first and conduct the first 15 turns of war.

I agree with this... full army and full control of the game until peace offering is requested to the mighty Pharaoh in case of war ( no, I'm not preparing a coup d'Etat  .... ) and a city from the spoils if the war, if it pleases the Pharaoh :please: ....

I think that we should adopt what religion it suits better our interests... Sidartha, Xiva, Kong fu Tse,... all of them are welcome to our pantheon of the 1001 gods :D

I think that nobody spotted that small grassland mine south of Paris  ... that is where the little guy has his iron ;)

And the Oracle had spoken *giggle* .we should have horses ( but wasn't the Oracle BIADL? Why should we listen to it? *giggle* :p )

Pawelo sees the wisdom in our militory advisor words, though advises not to force our people into some pagan foreign Gods. If there is a diplomatic ( whatever this word means to us in our times ) advantage to it, it allows us to remain courtous with everyone, secretly plotting plans to integrate them in our mighty Egypt, without our people getting angry about attacking "our brothers in faith" or something.

And long life to r_rolo's Amon-Ra sight for this nice hill, I suggest we might take this patch of land as our head quaters for General rolo for his upcoming campaign and send all those minors away while burning the source of French might.

I'm talking specifically of this mine ( thank Horus ( the god of far sight, among other things ), not Amon-Ra :p ) ( chemical symbol used to avoid confusions ):
Spoiler :

I suggest using the marked square in the picture below as gather point ( if we still cntrol it when the war starts). From there we can both attack the 2nd French city and minimize the path to Paris and the iron mine ( 2 turns to get there, unless we get some mongols as mercenaries  )
Spoiler :
alborn_s_veiw1.jpg

As military advisor, and soon to be Lord-Marcher of our mighty army, I strongly urge Mehatu to get horses ASAP. If we have chariots, we can pillage Nappy's iron in 2 turns ( like indicated in previous picture )... if not we need 3 turns :( That can make a lot of diference ( but politicians never hear the military :gripe: at least until :ar15: :run: )....

There's the rub, Rolo. Valley of Kings is locked in a culture war with France at the moment. We will get a library out, but after that I have no other source of culture available without religion or a nice Wonder to honor our buried Pharaohs ... *hint* *poke* *Use great engineer* *cough*

Ahem. Sorry. I don't know what came over me. :p

OK, baby sleeping, and I feel better.

As I see it(i.e. probably wrong), the site I proposed has more(not much more) potential for food and commerce and get horse ASAP, while the other has potential for more hammer.

Am I right?

Mice is probably sleeping anyway, so I got time to decide.
