Picking up the Pieces

From: Dodger's Stadium
To: The Vanguard

Humans continue to battle over this city, they call it Los Angeles. Frankly I don't see what all the fuss is about, but many Puumon's of the 8th Battalion have already been lost in the crossfire and we are seeking a place to retreat or significant military support.

From the Vanguard

Our location is a bit far from yours, but if you can reach us, fellow soldiers are always welcome.

To: The Vanguard
From: Cartel del Golfo

We are glad to cooperate with you, since the invasion the cocaine trade has exploded, and we have been making money off of you people for months now. At present willing to offer you 3 Economic Points if you were able to get rid of Los Communado. They have been a thorn in our side and have completely shut down the corridors in Eastern Mexico.

Perhaps if you could stop fighting amongst each other, you could combine forces and assault Dodger Stadium? We would be more than willing to assist.

From: The LA Municipal Empire
To: Primm Central Station

We have intercepted diplomacy from you to the South Compton Coalition, and although we do not appreciate any relationship you might have with certain insurrections that are attempting to disturb the peace for no good reason, the people of the Municipal Empire are magnanimous enough to overlook it. We wish to assure you that there is in fact no war between humans here, and once we manage to clean the criminals off of our streets we will be glad to eliminate the aliens. But we cannot permit these criminals to continue to cast such looming shadows in the world of free men, they must all return to jail, including those who were not there before, or else they must be shot.

I understand that you think there must be Peace, but peace means NOTHING without ORDER and LAW!

Interrogation

"Ooooh... you're not going to spike him, are you?"

The pair of Tourliski were hovering in the recovered medical module of the Scafiri, now established a short distance away in the growing settlement of Karakul Base.

"Yes."

"Oh good... wait, does that mean you're going to, or you aren't going-"

Defer-Khan Murik-Pleji plunged the spidery metal probe into the cranium of the dead Rafiki Officer with a slick, splattering noise.

"Augh! Disgusting!"

Defer flicked his head in irritation. "Live with it. I need a direct physical contact to get information out of a dead ape."

Trevik-Dan Koli-Worra gave a nod, still wincing at the rather visceral site on the table before him. Defer ignored his pupil, tapping a button rhythmically. A screen mounted against the metal wall flickered on, a massive setup list of data rushing past. Defer scrolled past it, and a complex projection appeared on the screen.

"Good. Trevik, start the upload, we want to take this one cleanly."

The junior Tourliski tapped a few buttons on the side console, then looked up at the screen expectantly, still sneaking glimpses at the contact spike embedded in Marshal Trefiki's brain. The complex schematic disappeared, replaced by a circle. The screen iterated several times, as the simple circle grew more curves and lines, soon coming to resemble the outline previously seen on the screen. The two images flashed together, meshing.

"It's in place. The downloader, start it now."

The machine started to buzz slightly, Defer checking over a variety of parameters, checking on occasion to watch the process on the screen. Downloading, decoding, translating, transmitting.

Defer nodded with a sense of satisfaction, and pulled the metal probe out of the cadaver's brain.

"It looks good. We got him into cryo quickly, so the data shouldn't be corrupted."

"What then?"

"We figure out what he knew, use what we can. With luck, he can give us some insight into what the Rafiki were doing, and maybe get a chance to figure out what sort of control systems they've set up to keep us from using the our plasma weaponry stockpile."

"Sounds good. What next then? Get started on figuring out how to use the Scafiri heavy weapons?"

"Hahah, no. We've got a whole morgue to go through before that."

The Wanderer shakes his head as he looks at the rubble that was once Warsaw, what a shame.

Not that Warsaw was really that great of a city, the Wanderer had been there once before, and he had not been impressed. Was that a memory? What?

Now he is simply confused at whether or not his mind might come back one day, Warsaw was not a good city, something had happened there. Maybe he had gotten chlamydia there; maybe that’s why he started the condom company…

The condom company?

The occasional wall still stands, blackened by laser fire. There has been war here recently, he can smell it. It almost seems worth taking off the tinfoil to investigate but not quite, there is too much at risk.

The wanderer fingers his sidearm as he directs the horse to turn around. An ominous sign here, the smell of death, Lord only knows what he and the horse might find in there that has developed in the last six hours since the Wanderer checked the waves. Fresh death, right around the corner. He could smell it.

As his horse begins to retreat from the ruined city, a cat that once fancied itself a housecat prances deeper inside with the particularly large, although strangely alien rodent it has just caught.

Sometimes it isn’t the voices that mess with you, sometimes its just you.

And in those strange events maybe its best to take the tinfoil off, maybe let somebody else have a say.

The Wanderer pulls the horse over to the side of the road and ties it off; it begins to graze awkwardly at the nearby grass as its master sits with his legs crossed at a nearby tree and removes his ever-present tinfoil hat.

His eyes shift to the actions of the Script Kiddies in Rio. They had been busy these last months; suddenly he can feel their own satellite, just launched. A safe haven from the Rafiki viruses, rare now that he is not out there killing the little things as they multiply.

But within Rio, much to the frustration of the neoliberal Economic Professors, they began letting in large numbers of refugees, many of whom came in with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Others though offered a selection of 2 lasers, 2 Fuel and some bold scavengers had even managed to bring in an ET APC (ET Heavy Ordinance) that they had managed to pull out of the jungle, although they wouldn’t describe specifically where they found it. Essentially it is a large tank, with the potential to engage in combat, but also the ability to carry 2 troops in addition to the one who must pilot it in combat. It requires no fuel and can travel 6,000 miles round trip in a turn. It will require research, but it is already being looked into by the lab.

Local alien groups have made contact with them, especially a group of Puumon’s who currently occupy Brasilia but who accept their abandonment by the Rafiki and seek to live in peace with humans. The Pummons of Brasilia are quite impressed with the charity of these humans in taking in so many survivors and have asked for close alliance, perhaps in time, even union. To the west they did find the surviving staff of the Itaipu Dam who have holed themselves up in their still working electrical facility, if the Script Kiddies are able to provide military protection then they have promised to join them.

In New Zealand a group of Leelahs affirmed their presence to the Kiddies, but in a significantly more icy manner. They remain embroiled in a war with a local human group who call themselves the “Knights of Mordor.”

Far North, in the wastes of Vermont rampaging militias continued to murder civilians seeking refuge in the SHIELD facilities and rob them to prevent them from bringing further goods to the encampment. This has also shut down the immigration into the facility.

Some Soldiers went out to scavenge, but their movements were telegraphed through the large crowds and the militias were well out of the way before they arrived. These soldiers managed to scavenge 3 lasers, a single Fuel, 3 Cars and have also informed Nick Furry of the rumors they have heard of a still working, top secret, missile base outside of Albany.

The large proportion of population involved in military service is beginning to tax the economy, especially considering the lack of notable conquests.

2 Computers were destroyed by rampaging Rafiki viruses, IT supervisors insist that it has to do with the use of public access Satellites.

Many groups have been sending transmissions to SHIELD Headquarters, the Communications chief encourages Nick Furry to reply to them.

In France, The Wanderer watches as the firing mechanisms for lasers were finally decoded; a tool that quickly became crucial.

A satellite was also launched out of Caen, allowing the computers to access the global telecommunications network safely.

The troops were deployed to Paris where they found a group of loyalist militia continuing to battle the Leelah invaders. A group of Leelah who lacked the proper discipline in light of the recent abandonment quickly retreated to Vichy, the nearest Leelah stronghold, leaving a single laser equipped troop to face the local militia and the incoming forces. The local militia was destroyed, as was one of the soldiers that was sent, but the remaining Leelah soldiers found it a pyrrhic victory as they were also destroyed in the battle leaving Paris open to the remaining troops of the French Empire. The new forces occupying Paris found a Courthouse still standing and were proud to occupy their former capital. A Plasma Rifle, 3 Computers 4 working Automobiles, and 5 new Fuel were also found in Paris.

Because of the victory many Frenchmen have sought refuge in the new French Empire, 2,700 refugees now huddle outside the border waiting for permission to enter the state, including the survivors in Tours, Brest and Bordeaux who have asked to be incorporated, although Brest and Bordeaux are in ruins and cannot work as proper encampments at the moment.

At Kilimanjaro a small group of Lemon Banana Shrimpese fought their way to the top of the mountain, where they re-established a connection to the global telecommunications network through private satellites by setting up a new receiving base.

Within The home base a wall was erected to preserve the safety of Princess Boundless, these concerns were reinforced when the new computer uplinks showed that Dar Es Salaam and Bukavu are currently under the control of Rafiki deserters. The Tourliski in Dar Es Salaam did not seem to notice the remote observation, but the group of Succubi who are running Bukavu traced the observation and did manage to destroy one of the Computers.

The discovery of Aliens so near and still so well equipped led the military industrial complex to focus on expansion, although the troops are still only equipped with firearms. Many are interested in the scavenged lasers, but cannot discern the firing mechanism without some investment into research. They were able to scavenge from around the base of the mountain 3 lasers, 2 Computers, 2 Fuel and a downed ET Fighter. The new ET Fighter has generated a great deal of excitement but will also require a great deal of research.

On a brighter note, the spread of this newfangled ‘Holy Disease’ by the Rafiki races has obliterated HIV. Many of the Shrimpese are advocating a conversion to this new faith, called the Circle, which they have heard is responsible for the miracle.

But when the message of the nearby surviving alien forces spread to the countryside, many civilians sought refuge at the base of Kilimanjaro with the Shrimpese bringing with them 2 cars, these refugees predominantly adhere to Islam, and have spread word that Allah has sent messengers who have rebuilt the Pyramids and who demand the worship of the One True God.

In Australia the Wanderer listens as the source of the calls for Fish and Play have finally been discovered, and a nation of dolphins has assembled along the northern coast and asks where the promised fish or play is to be found. They frolic amongst the waves and squeal high pitched radio transmissions in demand of the promised fish.

Many local human groups have affiliated themselves with these new cat friends. The exploits of Fighter Squadron Epsilon are spread near and wide, along with the miracle of their Holy Disease, although the Nalese remain limited to flying out to spread the word or going on foot, as they lack proficiency in human automobiles.

In Addition to the 706 Humans who have recently joined the faction, bringing 3 new Lasers, a large box of what humans would call tinfoil hats, and a downed Rafiki Satellite that is easily repairable and can be launched, if the mechanics could only get a hold of a Hyperspanner. Another 1524 remain at the border waiting to be admitted, loudly shouting their faith in the power of the Circle. 1 group of Human militia and a Soldier from the Los Angeles refugees have also sworn their allegiance to the Fighter Squadron.

A Group of Leelah’s has been located in New Zealand, and they hold Epsilon personally responsible for the entire operation Ball of Yarn and cannot be dissuaded from this viewpoint, at present they are attempting to gain control of the islands from a group that calls itself the Knights of Mordor, a group that possesses a small number of working Naval Craft. If the New Zealand Leelahs are able to acquire control of these boats they have sworn to move their massive number of troops to land and exterminate Epsilon.

A Human virus called Mr. Smiley was responsible for the destruction of 2 ET Uplinks. One of them was replaced by the Nitros in Rouen.

Another South American Economy booms as the Lilin’s sheer population adds to their economic output. They continued to promote the integration of 506 new civilians through their aggressive public relations, but another 1,237 remain outside the current area of control and wish to be admitted. The various officers wish Qarinah to know that there is simply not enough food for that many people at the moment and even if there were they would be a continuing drag on the Economy.

In the Jungle the Succubi were caught in an ambush by a group of militia and a Soldier was lost before their companions decimated both militias with their lasers. The ambush was widely considered foiled by the locals despite the loss of the soldier and 1 militia composed of former MP’s has surrendered to the Lilin, they claim that the main MP base can be found in Manaus. They also insist that most of the MPs have been murdered in the jungle. With the amounts of pheromones they were exposed to, it is unlikely that they lied. Along with the newly arrived group of Leelah’s who brought a new Soldier into our group, the large number of soldiers around the encampment has begun to be a drag on the economy, and despite the faction’s large savings many are skeptical that their salaries will continue to be paid in any fashion.

A Plasma Rifle was found on one of the militias, it was extremely strange to see him wield it but the effectiveness of his combat in defeating the Succubi troop really can’t be explained any other way. Another 3 Firearms were recovered along with a Human Tank and a Hyperspanner, an all purpose tool that the engineers know will come in handy someday soon. 4 Fuel was discovered, but only 2 could be recovered because of the lack of a Fuel Depot. Human viruses have destroyed an ET uplink and the engineers are extremely worried that the last one might give out if a replacement isn’t found. Some humans have volunteered to work on teaching the techs to operate human Personal Electronics, 1 Computer has been offered up to work on it.

The Spread of the Holy Disease has, however, gotten many of these humans interested in the idea of religion; they want to know if the Lilin know anything about this ‘Circle.’ They are especially excited about the transmissions coming from Easter Island.

In Los Angeles the forces of the municipal empire were overrun by the South Compton Coalition and the troops from the Resistance arrived just in time to see the two groups wipe each other out, both armies were dead, and the Resistance Soldier quickly rounded up survivors and then led this group to Dodgers Stadium where they found 3 lasers left behind in a rush by the 8th Puumon Battalion. With the only troops in the area, surviving members of the two factions pledged allegiance to the Resistance for bringing peace to Southern California, where they found a still functioning Fuel Depot in L.A. compliments of Exxon Mobile, with 2 Fuel remaining in its reserves. The survivors in Los Angeles, particularly the South Compton Coalition are causing some problems with the output of the economy, it is possible there is some crime in the area, but with the sheer number of people it is difficult to locate perpetrators at the moment.

The operation of tanks was also mastered over the last months, allowing the group to utilize their most powerful weapon.

The Militia sent to Groom Lake encountered some of the Leelah troops from Indian springs; a group of alien soldiers attacked and killed a militia before being destroyed itself by the other militia. A unit of lasers was salvaged from their bodies. Upon reaching Groom Lake the scavengers found it demolished from the war, but they also found another 2 units of lasers, a squadron of ET Fighters that have been crashing out here since the 50’s, and 4 new Computers.

The ET Fighters are roughly equivalent to the current models being used by the Rafiki deserters, but are still damaged. One member of the Resistance, an escapee from an alien brainwashing camp who was being tested as a fighter, to see what human limitations and capabilities were in that arena, claims that he can not only teach people how to fly in them but he can also repair them. It will cost nothing for him to repair them, he claims they aren’t even that damaged. But he will need a Hyperspanner.

The Militia sent to the Hoover Dam met fierce resistance on the way and retreated back to Primm. Many officers believe that the Leelah in Indian Springs could have more information on the alien groups who seem to be all over the East and North.

The worship of the Circle is getting very popular in Santa Monica and most of Northern LA, these people also possess strong alien sympathies, and it could prove to be a problem.

In Yokohama, The Wanderer could smell the anxiety as the Yankee Suns landed troops. The tech squads were still on the line, still telling them that everything was clear, the Jet had encountered no resistance. But who really knows?

The first unit of soldiers crawled in, keeping low. It took them a full half hour before they felt safe enough to start recovering goods. They found 5 units of lasers, and 5 units of fuel, although only 1 could be recovered because of the lack of a Fuel Depot. A Hyperspanner was also found on site, near the fully operational Teleporter.

In Okinawa the Power Plant was discovered, and most of the Yankee Suns suspect that it is still operational but they cannot get into the operating center because it is secured at higher levels than anyone still alive in Okinawa has access to. It is possible that there might be surviving American Officers with the access codes, but they would probably be in the States. The most promising possibility, many in the organization feel, is to figure out how a Hyperspanner works, because they are pretty sure it can do that. They hear it can do most anything.

The situation in Tokyo continues to deteriorate; it seems that more and more buildings collapse from the weight of Ukabu Ika when they sleep hanging off of the towers, every night. The Forward Base at Yokohama has attracted many Japanese to the banner of the Yankee Suns, and now that everyone knows the place is secured under human control it has begun to be a major encampment. Many refugees are from Tokyo, and they all claim that there is no remaining political or military structure for the few human survivors who continue to scurry about the wreckage.

The Vanguard prepared for battle this turn, with the addition of a new soldier from within their ranks and the construction of a farm, now producing Spood, which many human chefs have come to the encampment seeking more knowledge about.

Another population boom also came from the addition of the 8th Battalion of Puumons into the group. The 1 Soldier and 648 civilians arrived with a unit of Plasma Rifles, 1 unit of human Fuel they had picked up along the way on their hitchhiking adventure, and were quite excited to be far away from the chaos of Los Angeles.

A large army of soldiers, 3 units of laser equipped troops, made their way to the Valley of Mexico, where they did in fact find Los Communado. For an ostensibly peaceful people, though, the scouts found the encampment full of soldiers. 4 troops defend the city, one of whom possesses the suspected Mind Control Ray and intends to use it in combat. They have also constructed a wall around the inner pyramids to protect the members of their faction. Scouts also report that they have managed repairs to the hydroponic farms, and that it seems they have cleaned the Valley of pollution, smog, and even litter. The soldiers have held off attack until they can get more support, they insist that even the human jet would be good enough air support, if someone could figure out how to fly it. The ground commander on the spot has logged several messages back to the Headquarters that he had not expected them to be so well armed, but now he understood why they were giving the cartels so much trouble.

2 ET Uplinks were found nearby, which was fortunate since human viruses did destroy the only one the Vanguard had possessed. Cartel del Golfo has offered to help them learn about personal electronics if the use of human computers could make their time here easier.

In South Africa, as the scavengers from DeBeers made it to Prieska this turn, they were excited to find the small town still very much alive. Humans seem to continue to hold much of the Southern tip of Africa, according to reports, with the exception of a Neter-Human Cooperative in Cape Town, where friendly Neter of the Cult of the All Seeing Eye go to church with good folk, and praise God in the name of Christ.

In their journeys the group was able to find 2 Fuel, enough to make up for the present trip and then some, along with 3 lasers and a strange Alien device that seems to be labeled a Hyperspanner. The DeBeers technicians have yet to figure out how it works, but Alien captives who are questioned about it insist that it “does everything.”

The Big Hole was attacked by a rogue Militia, but when they saw the defending soldier they retreated. 2 Computers have been lost to Rafiki Viruses.

Many of the surviving Humans of South Africa greatly respect the perceived stability of the DeBeers organization and have sought to join the group, 417 civillians have already done so but another 1,264 remain at the border requesting admittance. The CFO of DeBeers has made it extremely clear that to admit that many people would be inviting economic slowdown.

In Doboj, the leadership continued to plot their next move, with the fall of Sarajevo the Serbian nationals have been emboldened and now are sending scouting parties of militia up into the Red Faction’s territory. They covered many walls with pro-capitalist Graffiti before retreating back to Sarajevo.

Although panic is beginning to grip the streets of Doboj, another 478 refugees have poured in from the South offering a human Tank that they were able to recover on the way in. Another 1,053 remain outside the borders, and they desperately want in.

At the Scafiri Crash site the Economy of Omicron Wing reached 5, but at present the labor directors insist that in order to generate more economic output a reliable source of civilian power must be established. Perhaps the shattered batteries on the Scafiri will run a few military ET uplinks, but do they have enough power for an electric fence, do they prepare food for the slavekeepers? No, a reliable source of civilian power must be found.

Slavekeeping has become a common practice among Omicron Wing; it has become the universally acceptable method of dealing with these things. The humans are treated well, things are much worse for them outside, here they are fed and sheltered and all the Tourliski ask is a little backbreaking labor in the slave camps. There are many volunteers they are very happy about the spread of the Holy Disease of the Circle.

Contact has been made with a group of Tourliski in Dar es Salaam who claim to be able to construct a rigged up, but jump capable, interstellar craft. 276 Refugees from the nearby area have increased the population dramatically; many beings of all species now populate the remains of the Scafiri.

In Johannesburg a group of human militia was killed by Tourliski air support before they returned, but the Puumons, who are now the controlling power of Johannesburg, insist that human militia continue to come out of the woodwork. The Fighter Squadron insists that it saw no Plasma Rifles and wonders if the Puumons had not simply been overexposed to the sun.

In Taldykorgan the arrival of Tourliski fighters rallied the underground militias whose training has slipped to unacceptably sloppy levels in these months but they joined the fray to defeat a pair of human soldiers, from whom 2 Firearms were scavenged along with 3 units of human petrochemical Fuel. It was discovered that with the soldiers run out of town the locals are now friendly enough, and many have agreed to become slaves. Conveniently there is a Fuel Depot inside the town and there may be large stockpiles of Fuel near the city.

Some of the Tourliski who had advocated more utilization of the human’s skills mention that the new practice of politely forced labor isn’t exactly what they had in mind, “You know,” a trusted lieutenant might offer in a room dark enough that he cannot be personally accused of admitting it, “One way or another, they did beat us.”

2 ET Uplinks were lost to human viruses, possibly spread by rogue groups such as the ‘Knights of Mordor’ which is what some cooperative slaves suspect when they see the screens locked on the image of the ‘One Ring to Bind Them’. Although this usually ignites theological debate between the many new citizens of the Scafiri.

Thousands of years ago, when the Circle first came to Earth, one of the emissaries was of a Race who’s human name they eventually lovingly assumed, the Dolphins.

Humans had disappointing reaction to the Circle but the emissary, Squeaks at Strange Bubbles as he is fondly remembered in the intricately kept Dolphin oral histories saw something promising in the planet.

His people, a devoutly religious tribe who had not managed to assimilate the Holy Disease into their metabolisms, similar to the way the Neter were recorded to have allergic rashes from exposure, but without the benefit of healing.

For the Neter reincarnation had not been important, they live thousands of years and are naturally resistant to disease. For Dolphins though, with shorter lifespan the Circle held much more appeal.

The Dolphin people were also primitivists, they believed strongly at the time that life would be better without the trappings of modern existence and so when Squeaks at Strange Bubbles called them to Earth to begin a new primitivist utopia they came in droves and populated the seas.

And how delighted were they to play with the strangely mammoth creatures that Earth had created, so much like them.

When the Circle first visited the Human Race and found them unwilling to convert wholesale; and too primitive to effectively contribute to the religion. They left relics with the Dolphins in order to keep an eye on the Humans, and to alert them if the Race ever reached Fruition.

They had considered activating them, as a gag, when humans found a place for Dolphins in the Evolutionary Progression of their planet.

Now the ancient statue begins to glow, the watchers suddenly awake.

The sudden spike in energy output did not go unnoticed; the defeat of the Rafiki could not be ignored. This transponder is very important; it was always known that at some point the human race would reach parameters that made its use necessary. The station manager squeals at a precise frequency, bobbing his head above the water.

Those parameters have been reached.

The transponder has begun broadcasting.

-

The newly activated transponder at Easter Island offers secure telecommunications access, like a personal satellite, and also possesses a working teleportation device. The Dolphin group that currently defends the islands will happily befriend any faction that embraces The Circle. Hindu, Tao, Shinto and Buddhism are considered acceptable variations. (If you have any theological or organization questions the answer is balance, balance, balance)

I have intercepted transmissions from Dar Es Salaam indicating that the Tourliski in control of it have a design for a faster than light ship that could be built in a reasonable timeline on this planet. If you were able to devote 3 Computers this turn to stealing those plans for us I feel that we could be very helpful to each other.

We have access to some small stockpiles of human Fuel and are willing to part with it in exchange for any military support, any extra guns you could send. We hope to bring goodwill between our races. A group of aggressive raiders has been spotted at our borders and we are worried that they may attack.

We understand that you have certain prejudices against visitors, but good Christian boys like you should be able to see past our differences and worship the One True God together. Amazing Grace. If you embrace us as brothers in the worship of God you will find that we have much to offer.

You have developed quite a bit of credibility in this region, perhaps we should work together more closely.

We are trying to test our secured frequencies; we would ask if you could offer us one of your ET Uplinks this turn to attempt to decode our encryption. We know that all codes can be broken, but we want to see what weaknesses we currently have.

We have been observing your troubled people with our Uplinks, perhaps if you could offer us the use of 1 of your computers we would be able to find you the tools you need to set things right.

Successful Strategies: Some of you had very good ideas of how to develop your faction this turn.

-Diplomacy: There are as many NPC factions out there as you or I can make up, and most of them have rebel groups inside of them. These NPCs have a lot to offer you, from technology to tools and weapons, with a decent reputation most will eventually join your faction. Seon, I will try to be better about responding to your diplomacy.
-Retaking Large Cities: You get a ton of rep when you retake a major metropolis, and many have a building or two still standing.

For the use of the computers this turn I would request 3 things.

1. Knowledge of how to operate one of your Teleporters.

2. All Knowledge of the Aliens now mindlessly attacking Tokyo. We call them
Ukabu Ika.

3. A continued relationship between The Yankee Suns & Rafiki Command Group 3.82

1. I am comfortable with this, but I might consider that maybe you could devote 5 computers to the task considering the high level of complexity involved in teleporter operation.

2. What you call Ukabu Ika are the second biggest mistake my people ever made. They seem quite frightening, and are known to go feral, which we thought might be a helpful quality in a land troop. With a regular course of mind control rays they can be made into quite fearsome land troops, but without that they simply attack at random and are headstrong. I doubt any who have been so long deserters will have any training left. They are known as kleptomaniacs when it comes to lasers though, they hoard the things in their tentacles, even when you think you've gotten them disarmed this time, they pull out another damn laser. Can be useful, or it can be erratic. Depends on how much you need them to, or not to as the case may be.

3. Clearly we are willing to continue working with any and all factions who helps us accomplish our goals, especially considering how much effort they might be willing to invest.

We have retreated to Klerksdorp, things were coming in heavy. I still have 2 Soldiers and am prepared to strike whenever you can support. The alien bastards won't hold Johannesburg for long!

Hey,

Jet sat stunned. He put his face in his hands & wished he was back in the air over Yokohama. He stood, dropping his hands & turning slightly left to looked at Mr. Ito. He was a local Okinawa teen who had a great head for computers. A genius really.

"I believe that the use of Yankee Suns hardware for Rafiki spying could really advance our knowledge." Mr Ito lowered his red & yellow stripped colored head of hair to looked over his small purple sunglasses. "Plus the quicker they extract themselves from Earth the better."

"Do you think we can work with the Command of the aliens that caused all this destruction?" Jet turned to the right to look at Professor Peggy who sat with her back to him on the far corner of his desk. "We would be using all our computers." He walked to a map taped to a window of the still standing Yokohama Marine Tower. "We have to clear Tokyo as soon as possible. But all our computers." He took out one of his freshly supplied cigars and stoked it to a flame.

Don't know if this is even worth anything. If not kool. :D

Hey,

1. My computer experts have informed me that no more then 4 computers would be needed for such a mission. The use of 5 computers would be of great trouble to the Yankee Suns. I would be willing to risk 4 computers to viruses for the Teleporter Operations information. I would also be willing to supply 1 laser for your defense.

2. We are honored by your gesture of the information on the Ukabu Ika.

3. Sounds good.

I like your style. We will continue to seek multiple contractors for this job, but we will gladly accept your help and remember the charitable size of your contribution, most especially when we are making payment.

If you want my honest opinion, some Tourliski tend to talk things up a bit, its possble the thing doesn't exist, it might also be a trap. We want all the eyes we can get on it. We appreciate, and will continue to appreciate your help and we understand the risks.

We do not require your lasers.

We hear you, may the eternal wheel roll for eons for your people. We have one last Transponder, one last link to the outside world. We would be willing to give you this, but it would leave us closed from the world.

Also, We were an infiltration squad for the Rafiki, and, though we have taken in a combat group and a large number of humans, all who are nominally part of the Circle, we have no proper teachers, and so have not been able to convey anything beyond the fact that Balance is Paramount. Could you send us teachers?

Can I even reach Easter Island from where I am now?
