Political Compass Meme Thread

Suddenly I get all those UKIP "Make Anime Real" memes... :scared:

Personally I'd swap the CSA for the CIS, but then, the only reason I know they're a thing is because of Kobayashi's Star Wars: Insurrection.

I can get behind this 100%, the only two good albums are in the bottom left

edit: to be fair graduation is good too I guess, it has certainly grown on me in the, what, ten years since it came out? But at the time I felt it was a big step down from his first two.

I don't know if I agree with Yeezus in Auth-Left either.

Like Black Skinhead and New Slaves are pretty anti-authoritarian.

I like pretty much all of Kanye’s discography and particularly his latter half. But I don’t know the album covers so I dont know what’s where.

From Extreme to Moderate:
Auth-Left: Yeezus, The Life of Pablo
Auth-Right: Ye, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Lib-Left: College Dropout, Late Registration
Lib-Right: 808s and Heartbreak, Graduation

Ah, I was wondering about that one. Is that some kind of alternate album artwork? This is the cover I'm familiar with:

Yeah, it's got a bunch of alternate covers (the official cover is the one on the top left):

NSFW: One of the covers shows a man drinking wine straight out the bottle, and we can't have that.
Spoiler :

Edit: incidentally, it's enormously ironic that the alternate cover for the album artwork they chose to represent MBDTF as auth-right is the one portraying Kanye as a decapitated king.

This the kinda high that you don’t come down
This the kinda high that get you gunned down

You see?
You see?

Superpower

Before you ask me to go get a job today,
can I at least get a raise on the minimum wage?
And I know the government administer AIDS
So I guess we just pray like the minister say
Allahu akbar, throw em some hot cars
The things we seen on the screen's not ours
but these n***as from the hood so these dreams mad far
Where I'm from the dope boys is the rock stars
but they can't cop cars without seein cop cars
I guess they want us all behind bars

Probably the most explicitly anti-capitalist song Kanye's ever released:

Spoiler :
My mama was raised in the era when
Clean water was only served to the fairer skin
Doin' clothes, you would thought I had help
But they wasn't satisfied unless I picked the cotton myself.

You see it's broke [n-word] racism
That's that "Don't touch anything in the store"
And it's rich [n-word] racism
That's that "Come in, please buy more"
"What you want, a Bentley? Fur coat? A diamond chain?
All you blacks want all the same things"
Used to be only [n-word]s, now everybody playin'
Spendin' everything on Alexander Wang
New slaves

[...]

They throwin' hate at me
Want me to stay at ease
F- you and your corporation
Y'all n-s can't control me
I know that we the new slaves
I know that we the new slaves
I'm 'bout to wild the f- out
I'm goin' Bobby Boucher
I know that p- ain't free
You n- p-, ain't me
Y'all throwin' contract at me
You know that n- can't read
Throw on some Maybach keys
F- it, c'est la vie
I know that we the new slaves

[...]

See, they'll confuse us with some bulls-
Like the New World Order
Meanwhile the DEA
Teamed up with the CCA
They tryna lock n- up
They tryna make new slaves
See, that's that privately owned prison
Get your piece today
They prolly all in the Hamptons
Braggin' 'bout what they made
F- you and your Hampton house
I'll f- your Hampton spouse
[SEXUALLY EXPLICIT LINE REDACTED]
[SEXUALLY EXPLICIT LINE REDACTED]
Y'all 'bout to turn s- up
I'm 'bout to tear s- down
I'm 'bout to air s- out
Now what the f- they gon' say now?

And then there's this bit from the outro:

Egyszer a Nap úgy elfáradt
Elaludt mély zöld tó ölén
Az embereknek fájt a sötét
Ö megsajnált, eljött közénk

Which apparently translates to:

One day the sun, too tired to shine
Slept in the deep, green somber lake
And in the darkness, the world did ail
Until she came, for all our sake.
