Political Compass Meme Thread

I can get behind this 100%, the only two good albums are in the bottom left

edit: to be fair graduation is good too I guess, it has certainly grown on me in the, what, ten years since it came out? But at the time I felt it was a big step down from his first two.

We don’t WANT no devils in the house

I don't know if I agree with Yeezus in Auth-Left either.

Like Black Skinhead and New Slaves are pretty anti-authoritarian.

Bear in mind most of the normies who make these think bot left = smoke pot and pacifism. So from that kind of perspective Yeezus belongs where it is.

The sonic aesthetic feels a little auth left to me. Abrasive industrial stuff always does. The songs you mention always seemed pretty just broadly anti-capitalist to me, whereas TCD and LR have more specific, but also mellower perspectives.

how can libertarian leftist AND tankie????

Are you talking about the top meme that glorifies centrists? Probably got the idea from fash influence that thinks antifa are tankies because violence

I mean, I understand it in the abstract, but like, the political distinction is baked into the very name itself.

It's meant to be an insult, you know
"you used to be a tankie, then you took dmt once and now fancy yourself [some sort of liberal leftist]"

It's a slur, yes, but it's more a response to a moral/political question: do the demands of the Vanguard (i.e. the Marxist-Leninist project) supersede local-level self-determination/socialist organization. It's literally a libertarian-authoritarian political marker.

It's a meme within a meme possibly within another meme so don't overanalyze it too hard :)

The "Chad Centrist" one is basically indistinguishable from something that someone in the top-right quadrant would make.

I, uh, got the precise opposite impression there.

Yeah but then he did DMT with uncle Rogan and now he’s in our quad

The other three quadrants are framed as bad people. The top-right quadrant are framed as loser nerds. It reads like it was made by an auth-righter who is embarrassed to be associated with other auth-righters.

Also, "thinks all cultures and people can mix freely without any consequence" is clearly a sentence written by a fascist. I mean, c'mon.

When at any point in history have cultures and people been able to mix freely without consequence? There's always consequence and conflict. Never as dire as fascists would have you believe, but it's not Kumbaya either.

It's not because it's inherent that different cultures and people will fight, but these cultures are often nationalistic/racist/xenophobic so it's kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I didn't realize 90% (well, maybe 80% these days) of the people living in developed countries support fascism, but the more you know...

It's not so much the statement itself (which is merely kinda dumb) but the fact that it was made. Like, if somebody is asked to describe anarchism and the first they come up with is "pro-race mixing", they're kind of giving the game away.

You must be right. Only a fascist would get the impression that the people justifying mass immigration on the grounds that whites live on stolen land anyway might be going a bit overboard on the multiculturalism thing.

No, I'm sure you can find a soundbite of somebody in the lib-left quadrant making some ropey arguments about immigration. But that doesn't really change what I said, that "pro-race mixing" is a weird thing to bring up unprompted. That isn't an obvious connotation of the libertarian left for most people.

Somebody who holds elected office, yes.

Except that "thinks all cultures and people can mix freely without any consequence" is very nearly the explicit position of the globalists right now (I can think of one ethnic group they see no problem in reducing to minority status through immigration, but let's not get into that).

You are yourself explicitly in the auth-right quadrant, so I don't really know how you asserting the truth of the statement is supposed to prove that it is not an auth-righty statement to make.

I guess if a clear-headed centrist such as yourself says so.
