Edited my capitol to fix infantry deployments.

Also, I don't know if any balance testing has been done to see if buying a fort is more cost-effective than say, buying 10$ worth of units, but I strongly suspect that lowering the cost of forts to 5$ would be a good choice.

EDIT: lj, since Thlayli has claimed the areas you were interested in, might I recommend grabbing some territories to the west of where kraznaya is?

I thought he claimed that area that Matt had colored out in his post? And if not, why did they edit/post like they did?

Srsly if you post a map with accepted claims, Crezth, stand by it. Feelin' a little unappreciated here. :(

Last attempted claim: The northernmost part of the western continent and the province southeast of that. And let it stick this time, please. I know it's first-come-first-serve, but come on. :(

He did, and then Matt edited the map afterward.

He has!

Yes that works.

Oh. Right. Someone could have notified me about that. :b

I used the latest map to fill in my own provinces. He did not, at the time, show the whereabouts of Thlayli's claim. But...

Yes that works.

... means that no more frownie smileys are needed. The starting position I'm ending up with is horrible defensively, but what can you do when you get moved two times. :p

Nation Name: I'll figure it out later
Flag: SIE.fascists.tge
Color: Green
Unit Type: Cossack
Province: The one surrounded by Crazy Magyars
Units: Later, Lots of Defensive Stuff
Extras: Whatever that I can use to defend
History: Later

FINAL SUBMISSION. Tell me if anything's wrong!

Nation: Enlightened Sarkantos
Flag: REB.tga
Color: RGB 255/0/0 or RGB 0/0/0 with RGB 255/0/0 borders.
Unit type: Fancy
Provinces: narisiya, jormunj
Units: 3 free Infantry in Narisiya
Extras: EXTRA PROVINCE (5) + INDUSTRIALIZE JORMUNJ (10) + URBANIZE NARISIYA (5) = 20 total
History: The Sarkantine Eparchy collapsed as the world entered the industrial age due to a combination of court infighting and a massive rebellion that caused the Eparchy to lose control of Great Parsha. The old council of generals had to reunify, reorganize, and liberalize, allowing the 'common people' to have some representation in the operation of government, the so called 'Sarkantos Enlightenment'. Economic liberalization broke up the old state monopolies and led to new urban growth in Narisiya, and control over the foreign trade routes between Parsha and Semikadia gave the reinvigorated Sarkantos the funds to reform their army and conquer Jormunj, long a source of annoying raiders that had plagued Narisiya. Imperial ambitions lie in both directions, as the great old Eparchies of the past once ruled Selena and Parsha both. Where Enlightened Sarkantos will turn next lies up to the Council of Servitude and the whims of fate.

Do you expect me to treat this like a serious submission?

Well, my brother invited a sudden party. What can I do? Let them run roughshod over my account like 3 years ago?

If I do that, he will threaten to stab his "stick" in my "hole". My parents always take HIS side even when he starts stuff, and everything he does is "harmless little kids stuff" like biting me in the back, smashing my head with sticks and sticking his hands where no hands should go.

Therefore, I don't do that.

Hence, lousy submission I am working on.

@ Thlayli, I accept your offer.

Edit
If he's your younger brother, slap some sense into him.

I won't have the time to truly invest. Sorry and apologies. Pulling out.

And I won't report to the police because he is always a "good boy". AKA 1 angsty teenage boy v.s. best student in the school with perfect record and fawning friends and family other than said angsty teenager. Besides, if I don't provoke him he is almost bearable.

I was misinformed and have as such edited my nation submission. Now I get what the f kraz was talking about when he said my land wasn't connected.

Provinces: narisiya, jormunj*

I will edit a little more stuff in: This is a timestamp for not being wrecked in pieces by an overlook of Iggian proportions; as with what happened in ZPNES... :)

Some kind of history humbly submitted for review.

LoE, that's perfect. It sounds a lot like the old High Kingdom of Ar Daeacht. Like you said, that probably provides them with a lot of legendary mythology and cultural purpose. Maybe you should add a (mostly powerless) assembly body to keep the tradesmen from being too discontented; though an imperial cult of personality probably keeps them in line.

Doing histories for people.

[lj] Enlightened Sarkantos:

The Sarkantine Eparchy collapsed as the world entered the industrial age due to a combination of court infighting and a massive rebellion that caused the Eparchy to lose control of Great Parsha.

[Matt0088] The Ninth Holy Diarchy of Great Parsha:

Once home to the world's first great monuments and great empires, Parsha has long stood in the shadow of the Pillars. In recent centuries, the Three Rivers have been ruled by Ankos, Urethak, and most recently Sarkantos. Sarkantos had long ruled with the consent of the great families of Parsha, but a religious revival of the old dualistic faith started a revolt from the bottom up. The elites belatedly joined in and won an unexpected victory over the Sarkantine Eparchy. The new state was styled after the ancient divine monarchies, with the two Diarchs, male and female, the personification of the gods of darkness and light themselves. This religious zeal is a powerful impetus for conquest, but much modernization of Parsha's great ancient cities is needed before Parshan armies can come roaring out of the desert once more. Will this theocratic empire manage the task? Only time will tell.

[noob] The Separated Republic of Euzaro

The Euzar were long outcasts within the tribal confederacies of the Tain, because of their strange language and their culture, which obsessed with ritual purity, caused the Euzaro to separate themselves into separate enclaves, where they worshiped a monotheistic god separate from the Tain pantheon. During a war with the Birodalmat, the Euzaro warriors decided to come to a separate peace, and this was the last straw for the Tain. A wave of pogroms hit Euzaro quarters in cities across Selena, and a great exile began. Forced out of every possible home, the Euzar began to migrate across the sea, landing in a separate colony that they named after themselves. Influenced by Lijiani republicanism, they formed a Republic of their own, and are most famous for giving women limited suffrage, in the form of votes that are separate but equal.

Pretty much everyone hates them.

Birodalmát Szűzies (Empire of the Pure)
Azért is!
The "Emperor" dared fail us. We Who are the Destined, We Who are the Chosen, We Who have Divine Blood coursing through our veins: János breathed life into wind and water to create us, and he who called himself "Emperor" rejected him with scorn. He consorted with the infidels, condoned those who worshiped Sátán and his minions, betrayed the legions of the Faithful, and polluted the pure line of his ancestors to dilute it with the Tainfag whore. Sátán and his agents have poisoned even he who could have been the greatest among us, but We who are Scion of János will never go quietly into the night. We did unto his servant as we do unto all our enemies: his name is wiped from our memory, his children and line eviscerated and fed to the dogs and pigs, and his mortal vessel ripped apart, tied to a dozen horses.

The old line is dead and gone, but We Who Remain Loyal will remain ever vigilant. We the legions of János, pure forever and always, will claim the four corners of the Earth in his name. Megváltás Utánozhatatlan!
