Project SYNTHESIS

Found a bug in the newest SVN version. When I started a 600AD game as Turkey, I was immediately defeated.

EDIT: And again with the Dutch on a 3000 BC start.

Happened to me with the Indonesian, 600 AD start.
Edit: Oh, and with the Khmer and the Arabs as well. hahaha, I guess this means I should sleep instead.

By the way, thanks for the help with the SVN thing. It worked!

also, in this last version, there should be the Iranians, the Italians and the Indonesians, right? any other "new civ" i'm missing? and what were the starting years of the first two? I'm asking because I don't see them in the choose civ screen!

Using SoI's system. In game you won't notice anything different (least not by that much). But behind the scenes (in other words, in the code) the SoI system is superior.
Oh, I intend it to make a difference, especially in getting rid of ahistorical dynamic names (or making them only show up when appropriate), more era-specific names and a more sensible requirement to become an empire.

And by the way, I'm not too thrilled by the massacre system either. I can't really see it applied anywhere except in the Middle East, and the Arab UP already nicely did that.

Oh. Python errors probably. But it didn't happent to me when I ran a test . I'll take a look at it again.

Right, the same here, but most players would only see it from a graphical standpoint.

In any event in the time that it took to write this post I discovered the error. This was a change that I made after my check and thought it was so minor that it couldn't possibly cause any problems, which is why I got this stupid line:

Code:
if iTeamX == iRussia]:

And that bracket makes no sense.

SVN'ing the fix.

Really?
This is what written in the Tortoise..

Error: Working copy 'D:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond
Error: the Sword\Mods\Project Synthesis' locked
Error: Please execute the 'Cleanup' command.
Finished!:

Try doing what it says. Right click on your RFC Synthesis folder, click "Tortoise SVN", and then click cleanup.

Assembla is a free site with limited bandwidth, so your connection to the server can have a timeout while you're downloading large amounts of data. The tortoise client usually interprets this as denied access.

A lock on the other hand seems to be due to an incompletely downloaded file. Look if there are folders/files marked with a red exclamation mark and delete them, then try to update again.

The cleanup command usually works for me. Or it did in the two instances where this situation also occurred to me.

I've put the Inquisitor AI on hold until Edead gives me a bit of help I requested. In the meanwhile I'm moving on to merging in the latest DoC stuff.

With the rev 32 i get a CtD when starting a new game right after the loading screen, this did not happen with rev 30!

That's a bit vague When exactly? When the init's finish (like init xml, init python, etc.)? When you click Play Scenario?

Cuz I'm getting nothing.

after the init, just after the loading (generating of the map etc), i have just the time to see the UI and then it crashes.

I had an idea for "Unification Missions", similar to that in EU3. For example, the Marathas would be called Marathas unless they manage to unite all India under their reign (kick out Euros and Mughals), but when they did their civilization type would be set as India. Russia would be Kiev. Prussia would be Prussia until it united Germany. Only for a few civs, but I thought it would be a cool idea.
