Promotion Flags EUI for VP v3

Playing with VP 4.5.1, promotion flags enabled in options, despite that I'm not seeing them. Any advice? Tried clearing cache but nada.

I had that problem in 3 different playthroughs, didn't even notice it in first, and ended renaming my units to quickly know who had which promo.

Edit: Apparently using WHoward's "Improvement - Airbases" is responsible for my dissappearing Promotion Flags.
