Pros and Cons of EU membership

I'm going to put a bomb under the Strasbourg and Brussel's parliament. I'll be considered a hero by British patroits and Europeans for centuries...

I hope you fare just as well as your spiritual predecessor...

Is it true that, for any particular Brussels regulation, the Germans implement it and love it, the French ignore it, and the British implement it and hate it?

No. Everybody implements it and those who do it wrongly then blame Brussels for making stupid laws.

French people want Britain out of the EU.
This is, in itself, the main reason why Britain stays in. ;)

But frankly Britain's membership in the EU is an empty shell: they are neither in Schenghen nor in the Eurozone, and they don't want to be part of any of both in the future.

Why would the French want Britain out of the EU, they do well of Britains financial contiibutions?

The EU is not just about Schenghen nor in the Eurozone, but about trade across borders, being allowed to work across borders without visas, how would all those French ppl who live and work in London do if they kicked the UK out of the EU.

Nevermind, I made a mistake.

The UK has earned quite a reputation for obstructionism, insistence on special priviliges and taking America's side in every disagreement between the EU and the US.

What, you mean for centuries to come we'll still be happily burning Quackers effigies at the stake in celebration of quashing his treasonous (and Catholic) plot?

That's almost worth it

Oh, and Quackers would actually solve the issue with the MEPs moving between Brussels and Strasbourg all the time, wasting taxpayers' money. Such a great europatriot he is :D

I actually heard from many people that it would have been better if the UK joined the US as a state instead of being a part of Europe.

We're courting you now. You may think you love Europe, but you can't resist us in the long run.

We're like long-separated lovers; the UK and the US.

Shouldn't affect them at all, other than a longer commute time to pass through customs and border control.

That would be hilarious.

And totally improbable.

But still hilarious!

Every nation in the EU tries to get the best for itself, this is the diplomacy of the EU.

Yeah, right. The EU wants to enslave and reeducate your children and take away your currency, but you'd have much more autonomy and sovereignty if you were part of another country.

It would indeed be hillarious to see Nigel Farage rant and rave about states' rights.

Every nation in the EU tries to get the best for itself, this is the diplomacy of the EU.

But not to the same extend.

What's CAP?
