hey guys
remember
my last rant about my lab group from hell? WELL IT GOT BETTER (read: worse) THE LAST TWO WEEKS!
8 april - kelly doesn't show to the experiment (2nd in a row! and 3rd overall for those of you keeping track at home!) because she is "dizzy" and me and brad have to do the lab as a duo (again). the prof talks to us about kelly's absences (he's noticed too) and how she can't get a passing grade if she's missed more lab sessions than she's been there for. so apparently she's gonna the same we're doing the next day. eh, could be worse i thought.
last sunday, 13 april - kelly emails the group about her friday afternoon lab session. she said it went okay. everyone in the group has at least two tests in the beginning of the week so we decide to use our second report delay coupon.
tuesday afternoon - i create the google doc which we are going to do our lab report. i send an email to kelly and brad saying get a start on it early.
wednesday afternoon - naturally brad talks to me at our 3:30pm class about the lab report. as a bit of a rewind, brad has the draft of our lab report. but he hasn't put any of the comments into the google doc for the draft of the lab report. i give him this face ->

and tell him to get the hell on writing in the comments on the draft (the draft wasn't very good).
wednesday night - i had to go to one of my clubs last night for elections hence i wasn't able to come home until 9pm. naturally, nothing much is done. kelly has been editing some stuff (albeit poorly). we made the mistake again of having brad do the data analysis (i would do it but he knows what's happening better than i do, and besides, the data is on his computer). so i re-reedit kelly's sections and pretty much end up rewriting half the introduction, objectives, theory, and procedure (10 pages!). 1am comes around and brad hasn't had a peep since "i'm working on it" in response to the data analysis c. 10pm. realizing that brad is being a giant scheisskopf i send him a very very angry email.
thursday - i wake up, open up my computer and see that some figures/charts have been uploaded into the google doc. i'm miffed that it took this long but at least i can skip german class and get this done. i go to my actually really important 9:30am class and around 10:50am i start writing my discussion. but i realize that all brad has uploaded is very basic stuff, nothing about the optimal feed stage location (which was the point of us doing the experiment) to be seen. i try my best to write with the material i have. i get an email a little after 11:30 with all the data. finally! it took only 90 minutes before the lab report was due for me to get all the data! not to mention that the abstract, conclusions, error analysis, and a few other parts of the lab report remain uncompleted!
i throw together a flaming poopstain of a discussion and abstract while brad does the other stuff. at 12:50 (t-minus 10 min) i finish the discussion and turn it in. brad presumably turned in the rest of the lab report. why should i care? he was the reason this lab report is crap.
i then go to my favorite local watering hole.
