Doing something productive then most often helps, from my experience.

Sometimes though I end up pretty much unable to even think, which is pretty fun.
Fortunately though my medication has reduced the rapid-cycling mood swings so I only get them once in a while now as opposed to daily.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong on the job interviews I go to. So far I've gotten no job offers . I'm tempted to consult a career counselor.

Have you tried ringing the company afterwards to get some feedback about what went wrong?

Still, I've heard a lot of them refuse to give any these days, so maybe that's not a helpful suggestion.

Most people from my department (computer science department, so 95% men...okay, not that bad, 85%) are right now at a LAN party at one of my colleagues (not me, don't care anymore for games).
Including the B.sc. student who I'm supervising since a bit more than one month. 1.81 m tall, 19 years old, blond, good looking...yeah, female.
At roughly 11 PM I got a call from one of the guys, that I should tell me student to stay longer. Which I didn't. Heard her in the background, pretty annoyed (I think), said that she's now definitely going to go.
One girl, 14 guys (or so), beer.
Since that dick thought it was funny to call me a few times, I was roughly 45 minutes listening via the phone what's going on her. Gladly nothing special, just gaming.
I'm still pretty pissed right now, because on Monday I'll have to find out if something borderline happened, and if I'll have to make a fuss somewhere.
Totally made my day. I am NOT happy right now. Seriously.

EDIT: Sent her an email (don't have her phone). Want to know if I need to keep on being angry over the weekend.

Are you "involved" with her or something? Just wondering why you'd care what she does at some party.

As my father kept "reassuring" me, some people just can't grow beards (either properly or at all). I fall into the first category.

Be happy about that. Shaving is a major pain in the rear for me, and I'd happily get rid of my facial hair (if that didn't cost so much).

It's not "some party", but basically an extension of work.
And if my work peers harass my work underling, then I have a work problem (even if it didn't happen at work). And it's not so that I don't have enough work problems.

I think they're playing in real LAN, at least partially. Some have not really good computers, so they're not playing the latest stuff. On top of the list was again Unreal Tournament 2004, and I think back then the games could still do real LAN.

You're right, but it'll still to nearly 100% reflect on work.
