It's sad indeed, but all major conflict will have it's corresponding propagandawar (from both sides) running along with it.

I don't see Israeli children running up to masked terrorists at the behest of their parents. If nothing else, it suggests a quite difference between how the two would react.

Besides, that video shows just one of many reactions israeli soldiers have to protesting children.

Yours doesn't show the context. Palestinian children do things like run into forbidden areas to provoke soldiers, or set fires around settlements- in which case they really need to be arrested. Did the guy in your video just feel like wrestling with a kid that day?

In my video, it's obvious that the parents were hoping for the soldiers to react aggressively towards children that they themselves put there.

To be fair, I did quit it. After the forums changed, the subscribed threads were all screwed up, and I couldn't possibly be bothered dealing with them, so I just purged 'em all. Essentially, I disconnected until now, when I decided to come here and be sad Greg Lake dying.

They look very differently on notation, but in regards to tempered intervals, they're the same (they sound exactly the same). One probably has abstract harmonic qualities that the other doesn't - again, from a pure notation standpoint (and seeing that notation isn't really sound, this is already beginning to be a problematic discusssion) - but I'm personally one of those musicologists that believe that kind of theory is neither interesting nor incredibly relevant save for an extreme subset of geeky notecraft.

So they're either monumentally illiterate and have been delivering to the wrong address (and the recipients are too dishonest to turn down free food), or they're lying. Are there any real grocery stores anywhere near you that offer delivery service?

I'm reminded of the time when I had just decided to get internet service (back in 2004). The technician from Shaw (one of the universe's worst telecommunications companies) insisted that not only had he come to my home when asked, but he had rung the doorbell several times (and heard it), and knocked VERY LOUDLY for 10 minutes, and since nobody answered, he left.

I'd love to have seen the expression on the faces of the "customer service" agent when I informed him that the technician couldn't possibly have heard the doorbell ring because it wasn't a ringer, it was a buzzer... and that he couldn't possibly have knocked at all, let alone "loudly" because I was sitting not 10 feet from the door all day and would have heard. And nobody bothers knocking for 10 minutes.

Sheesh.

I'm quite certain the delivery driver lied to Amazon. The totes they deliver groceries in are extremely conspicuous and you have to put them back out front for a later driver to pick up. I would have seen them by now as I am the only person in the building who gets these deliveries. That or we're talking a scenario where the driver delivered to someone in this building and that person kept the totes OR the driver delivered to the wrong building entirely. I just don't find either of those scenarios particularly plausible in light of the 3 previous failed deliveries. Or was it 4?

I don't know, I've been using them for months and all of a sudden they have stopped being reliable completely. We decided to give them one more shot and then cancel if it happens again. I will say that unlike the normal Amazon customer service (they make it difficult to get a hold of them), the grocery service is pretty easy to contact and they are very courteous and quick to apply a credit to my account as an apology. But they can't re-order the food themselves, you have to manually re-order yourself which is a hassle.

To answer your last question - there probably is a delivery service from a proper grocery store near us but I'd have to do some digging to find out. I also doubt that ordering will be as easy as it is on Amazon.

Ugh I feel like I'm coming off as a lazy **** for complaining about this but it's a big deal for us given the long hours we work. The convenience and time savings were a big quality of life improvement for us. But if we do have to go back to getting groceries ourselves at least our wallets will thank us.

My grandmother is doing better with her pneumonia but she's still resisting going back to the doctor for her follow ups. I understand why (she has a difficult time getting up the stairs) but when I called yesterday she mentioned going to the beauty shop. I told her if she headed into town for that then she needed to get to the doctor too. It's very frustrating and is a source of worry for me.

The in-laws are being petulant toward us lately. They refused to see my wife before we moved cross country, despite my wife making a 2 hour journey to St. Louis to see her family one last time. Her parents couldn't be assed to drive 10 minutes to say goodbye to her and now her mom sends nastygram texts saying she is 'ignoring her many calls'. Her mom has not called either of us in 2 or 3 years (not an exaggeration, it may actually be longer than that). I guess a text every couple of months counts as 'many calls'.


I had fillings put in yesterday and the dentist did a poor job of fitting them. My bite is off and I have bits of filling material protruding from my teeth. They used so much numbing agent that I couldn't feel anything after the procedure for an hour so I didn't know how bad of a job he did. Now I have to go back to have them touched up today which is a hassle. I also was left with a splitting headache and jaw ache after the numbing agent wore off yesterday which has never happened before. I guess he was just really rough with my mouth while he was in there. I'm not looking forward to a repeat so soon.
It's only Tuesday but this week sucks.

In all seriousness, I feel you on the dental stuff. I've had fillings put in poorly before and it's a real drag getting them fixed up.

Actually, next week I have an appointment on Monday to see the oral surgeon about having my one wisdom tooth removed, then on the 21st I go to get two fillings, to be followed by the actual surgery to have the wisdom tooth removed whenever they schedule it for.
So yeah, fun stuff. Hopefully I get some drugs out of it though

I wonder if they hired a new driver, and he (or she) is stealing your food? That's a possibility worth checking into. If your orders are going missing, maybe other people's orders are as well.

Every so often we read news articles here about Canada Post drivers who stopped delivering mail - just dumped it in their own garage, or went through the parcels and cards to see if there was anything they could steal.

Even Walmart does mail order with non-perishables. I've ordered things like rice and plum sauce from them, as well as cat litter.

I'm going to be putting in a grocery order tomorrow for some stuff (I'm down to half a bag of cat food and they've got an 8 kg bag on sale for a very good price).

It's more real when you shop in person, isn't it? I still can't believe I ate a whole black forest cake by myself (over the course of several days!). But I just saw it in the flyer, it looked so tasty... That store does have an excellent bakery.
