Plastic jugs are less likely to burst and spill milk all over the place.

I seem to remember a weird amount of comments about Trudeau's hair right after he got elected.
All those "nice hair" political ads... multiple times every hour. That's why I finally abandoned watching my soap on TV and found a website to watch it on.

One of Harper's nicknames is "Helmet Head". He has always looked like a creep.

That's kinda sad tbh. Keep your unique culture.
That's one bit of "unique culture" we're well rid of.

Yep. It happened to me as I was bringing the groceries in... a milk bag slipped out of my hands and hit the cement steps of the front porch, split, and there was milk all over the place. My grandfather was not happy about that.

but that's part of the fun
It is NOT fun.

I've fallen behind in my class. Sigh.

Still nowhere nearer to the finish line on a well-overdue project as well.

I was also part of a live Q&A today... and I was unaware that the expectation was for attendees to have mics and cameras. So I was the only one without.

A laptop already get both of it build in, and I think your new laptop must have a decent camera and microphone. I hope it would not be a problem.

I don't do video or audio.

Yes, my laptop has it built in. The camera is crotch-level and impossible to use (really: the camera is below the screen). The microphone is... poor. So even if I did do video or audio, neither would have been a realistic option anyways.

Do you got a handsfree or any earphone with a little microphone? I usually use that for important zoom meeting and it works just fine, you just need to adjust the placement to find the best voice clarity.

Crotch level camera? It's already almost 15 years since I got my last pc, from that time till today I always use laptop's camera to operate skype and later on zoom and I already experience various laptop's camera, some camera are adjustable some other are static, but there is always a way for you to adjust the angle correctly.

You can check up the camera and audio quality first before the meeting, it would not be optimal or a podcast quality, but it would not be so bad also. Cheer up Syns ;)

I want a snack, but I ate all the nuts I had in my apartment.

Now I am largely snackless, save for my mini cinnamon rolls but those are for my breakfast tomorrow.

There’s a convenience store 100 meters (300 feet) away from my apartment, but do I want to change and all that just for a little something I don’t really need? Or do I dip into the cinnarepository and spoil my breakfast for tomorrow?

There are no good options.

I can adjust the camera by pushing the screen too far back so I can't see it clearly anymore, and the camera would be pointed directly up at my double-chin. I'm not exaggerating its placement. It is a static camera unable to be adjusted. It points wherever the screen is pointing.

From a Tom's Hardware review: "The thin bezels on the Legion required Lenovo to move its 720p webcam to the bottom bezel. It's sharp and color-accurate, but that placement just isn't flattering unless you want someone you're Skyping with to have a good view up your neck."

But no, I don't do video and audio anymore. I'll respectfully decline cheering up. You might ask, "But Syn, what about meeting people in real life?" And I would reply, "I don't do that anymore either."

My rant for today is that I only got tired after 1:30 AM. I slept poorly, and then I woke up at 6:30 AM. This day is going to be terrible.

Legion, that's the rig that we use in the office for Graphic Design and Videographer division, it's surely a nice rig. I really want that thing.

Nah I just got what you mean by now, previously I thought you can't do a video or audio (like inability because of tools limitation), if you don't do video or audio if that's the best for you then perhaps it is, because we know ourselves better than other.

Do things that suits you for now.

edit: Unless it's practically necessary, I also don't like video-calls. Last time I lead a discussion, my employees come with a video on, I ask her to just turn it off, her voice and a shared screen was all I need for a better communication. Looking at her face, or my face, at that point, really doesn't add anything, with video off I can lit my cigarette and clean my nose with my finger infront of the screen if I need to without holding it up trying to look good and set up a good example.

It is decent, but has a couple glaring issues. It has really inefficient cooling. I have a cooler underneath it that helps a little, but not much. After an hour of The Witcher 3, there's a spot on the keyboard that is uncomfortably hot. No errors or warnings appear, so it's venting properly and within its bounds, it just runs hot.

And since, as far as I can tell, its construction is all automated, there is a common issue where the laptop will BSOD randomly because the HDD/SSD connection isn't properly secured. It'll flicker, BSOD, and then give a "no boot media" error during restart. Doing a hard restart fixes it, though, until the next time it happens. In theory you can get this fixed for free, but it's all done in China, so good luck seeing your laptop again before at least a month's gone by. I've probably had ~30 BSODs since getting this laptop at the beginning of May, which is more than double the amount of BSODs I've had in the ~14 years before then.

It's good for the price, especially now that GPUs are so inflated and the laptop market has trended up in costs.

All laptop that I have got that same problem, especially my green Vaio, omg, whenever I was playing game with that goblin I was sweating because of the love heat it shares with me, it's burning. The first 30 min I play at maximum performance and after that the performance just start going down the hill.

However Syns, recently I found a very interesting tool, it's a cooler for laptop and you attached it to where the air exit/out and it would suck out the heat inside your laptop and decrease the heat, well not drastically but it's considerably helping.

And it's not expensive, at least here in Indonesia it's cheap, here is the example. That one using manual levelling, you need to turn the leveler which will determined the fan's speed, the one that I had currently is the best one around (at least at that time when I was bought that product), and it costed me 10 usd, the leveler is in digital and the fan speed are more stronger than the cheaper alternative (which both me and bro-in-law were using). With this thing I can play medium heavy game for hours without drastic performance decrease.

My Minecraft server backup size has now exceeded the memory of my Raspberry Pi, which I'm using as the online map viewer server...it can no longer be held in cache as it downloads. I need to figure out how to split the download via my Python script, then stitch it back together in the correct order, which seems a bit complicated.

My blood test came back, mostly good, but 3 values related to being overweight are off (2 liver enzymes too high, HDL too low).
I already don't drink (most of the time... last time in August), don't smoke, do regular exercise, and at the moment mostly eat salads.
I have absolutely no idea what I could do to especially target these problems :dunno:.
Guess the doctor will need to say something .

How overweight?

How much? That depends on how you count.
I'm 1,7m and 100kg.
If you go by the BMI, I should be only 75 kg.
If you go by body fat percentage, then 15-20% is normal, I'm currently at 25% (or so, roughly), which means I should be 90-95 kg.
It's a bit complicated with the sports n muscles n stuff ^^.
Achieving the latter is obviously easier.
I guess the doctor will not be very useful for this though lol.
