It's actually something I have considered a couple of times, but it would only treat one of the symptoms of loneliness and doing it regularly would be too expensive.

Yeah, sometimes you gotta treat yourself though.

Joe, I think I know the feeling you're talking about, and while I can't be 100% certain, it's probably just your mind playing tricks on you. I know I've had issues with the comedown from positive experiences where I convince myself something went wrong since I guess my brain struggles to accept happiness or satisfaction. Your brain is probably just messing with you since you can't pinpoi anything in particular wrong, so try not to worry about it if you can.

Part of it comes from the fact that you're back down to normal and it feels as if you're less happy than you were when the party was in full swing.

These responses actually make a lot of sense. It's still a weird feeling that I get almost daily, but I guess it's my inability to balance all the positive stuff with coming home to nothing. Something just does seem ever so slightly off...

That's been happening to me for almost a decade now...

Ten years ago, it wasn't something I noticed. Then I was suddenly older than my dentist!

You like what you can't have? ;)

Yep, hair!

Spoiler :
And women...

Right.

GoodEnoughForMe, do you shave your head?

Nope. I've had it suggested but that'd be such a change for me that I don't know how I would get used to it. And I have lots of hair elsewhere. Like the back of my head and the sides have lots of hair. It's just where my bangs should be. Lame.

What about your mother's side of the family? They often say that you should look there as well.

Yeah, my mom's parents are ok. Grandma on that side hasn't lost like any hair, grandpa has definitely lost some but he still has some, and he's in his 80s. My mom has an older brother who has def lost some hair in the back but is still in ok shape.

Sometimes I wonder if it's stress related because I've always had super high anxiety/stress to the point of gag reflexes and abdominal pain. I think that can mess with hair. Dunno.

Maybe it's simply a gene that's skipped a generation or two. If the rest of your family all have hair but you don't, maybe consider talking to your GP?

It could also be targeted soviet radiation.

:)

(anyway, hair issues must at some point be put to rest, cause it is a really dumb issue; i know from experience, sadly :D ).

Everyone knows, it's hair today and gone tomorrow. :)

I have a group of people I hang out with on the weekend at the bar. They had an argument and now they're split. It's always awkward whoever I see first I have to sit with them and when I go to the bathroom and see the others I have to make some excuse.

There are times I get a call from 2 or 3 different people all to go to the same place and none of them like each other so it's awkward. Also sometimes I'll see someone I know who knows English and we'll get to talking in English but I'll feel bad for the other person I'm with who doesn't understand, but usually he will just start talking to someone else so it's not a problem.

.

you think these things are related, and by thinking that, it becomes true. But as a bald dude who used to shave his head to short or even no hair, and who now grows it out, women don't give a care to the hair. Some do because they have particular and personal tastes- they are the exception. Women, young and old, want men and men are what's underneath the hair and skin.

Right, beards. :yup:

Regular contact? I live with him and have for most of my life. By "basically dead to me," I meant that he isn't a brother so much as that one guy who doesn't talk to anyone unless he has to and still lives here rent-free.
Oh…
Oh, man. I feel like I'll be soon in the same boat as you...well, on relations with my brother. He's in debt, but not one that would get him in prison. Although, one that will inevitably drag us down...ah well.
Even more of a reason to become the absolute ruler of Bulgaria. You could then see to it that these things are not a problem anymore.

Instead of treating it as nothing, treat is as joecoolyo time. You can relax, not have to keep a straight face, watch anime, post on CFC, not wear any pants…
Right, beards. :yup:

Was this before or after the US invasion? ;)

I thought you wanted to be the new emperor-philosopher at the city…

Not ALL ancient philosophers had beards.

Or at least i assume they didn't. I suppose Zeno didn't anyway. :)

Iirc there is a quote by Plato (but maybe some other), that "women don't have hairloss because it is caused by thinking", or similar :o
