I used to use fancy bookmarks but kept losing them eventually so I switched to using a dollar bill.
Since then, I have NEVER lost or misplaced it.

The lowest denomination I could use is a $5, and I prefer to keep those in my wallet for when I have lunch downtown or at places where there's a minimum to use debit cards.

It is the complete opposite of superstition, to wit: "something which is true but which no one believes." :smug: Alas, then I discovered Terry Pratchett has already used this word with this meaning in his novel Making Money.
