Random Rants VII: Why do they ALWAYS do that?!

My mom just gave me the most retarted lecture ever... She asked me, if I play 2 hours of video games at a time, why don't I do 3 hours of homework at a time? Hello? Anyone home? Video games are actually able to be played more than 1 hour without getting bored. Homework, on the other hand is boring and dull. How anyone could possibly do more than 30 minutes of homework at a time is beyond me. If I'm gonna fail 9th grade cause of that attitude, too fricking bad. Let me fail.

You'll regret that. I'll be the first to tell you it'll come back to bite you in the ass. There's very little time during the day I actually don't have a book cracked open studying for exams because I goofed off so much that I have no room for slowing down this year.

You have that free time now, but there's no such thing as a free ride. You'll pay later.

I'm not saying they shouldn't, and I'm pretty sure they will- the sarcasm is just there to say that I'm not at all being serious on the actual death with the comment.

Or something like that.

Kurt Russel got owned by some three girls in Death Proof....what the hell....my childhood hero...emasculated...I need a drink.

That reminds me: Why can't Hollywood bring back the double feature!?

If you don't do it now, you will regret it later. Most likely because when it comes to the time you have to work your ass off, you won't know how.

Yeah. Reading those comments and getting a breath of fresh air just made me realize my post was stupid. I was just really mad and needed to vent. The essence of a rant, no?

@mythmonster: Yeah, pretty much, which brings me to stupid rant number XQ2000: I'm bored.

Richard Dean Anderson made a better Jack O'Neill anyway.

You say that as if they shouldn't?

no, they shouldnt. freak accident. nobodies fault. who DO they sue? the helmetmaker? the school? the other team? the two players? none of those make sense because nobody is at fault here. it was an accident, but in a game where tackling is part of the game and everyone knows the risk.

how is it beneficial to THEM to sue? how is it beneficial to anyone?

were the safety features inadequate? if so, I can understand it. but it sounds as though it was a normal football game, with normal equipment, etc.

If the other team's players acted recklessly, or out of the spirit of the game, to cause it, they have a good enough reason to sue.

Because my dad apparently is too dumb to know that you COVER YOUR BLANKETY-BLANK-BLANKING MOUTH WHEN YOU COUGH OR SNEEZE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A COLD (he has one), his head cold has spread to me and my mom.

Wonderful. I'm already sick and it's not even September.

Hard tackling is not out of the spirit of the game, neither is clothes-lining someone with two people. There is no reason to sue unless some new details come out.

What's wrong with you? This 14 year-old kid is DEAD and all you can do is "preemptively" roll eyes at his family?

Choxorn is always trying to cause controversy on the forums. He always has to go against the flow just so he can appear different from everyone else and get attention. Any sane person would feel sympathy for that boy and his family. Killed playing a sport he loved to play. Tragic. :(

The school let that kid go lie on the bench. There were no medical professionals there to make sure he was alright, nor did they attempt to get any help. That's negligence. We have trained sports medics at all of our football games.
