Not so great day for my friend on the cancer fighting front. Can't get or keep much down and if he can't gain weight, he won't be able to stand his next round of chemo.

I hate this effin' planet!

He's game for a rematch tomorrow. Can I do less?

Been designing a program for a NES on excel recently. Debugging is killing my brain mang. Not that I ever thought lowly of programmers and testers in the first place...but man is it a pain in the ass.

In one of my Fantasy Baseball leagues, I'm losing 20-4, and the fact that Jim Henderson blew that save last night along with Marco Estrada sucking whenever I touch him probably didn't help. And Yadier Molina's in a slump.

Finally got my laptop back from the PC repair place after 2 weeks. Turns out the connection between the screen and the motherboard is bad and that there was nothing wrong with the screen that they replaced or the new one they installed. Which is kind of funny considering that I specifically told them I suspected that the laptop had heat damage and that they should check the connection(s). Instead, they just opted to replace the screen without testing it or anything else and billed me for it.

So now they have had to refund the cost of the screen and the labor to me and just eat that cost. Of course, the laptop still has some utility to me (the problem is intermittent and can be worked around) and it would have been really nice to have had it for those two weeks instead of it sitting in their shop being ignored. I know they didn't work on it 99% of the time it was there, I've been told by the owner that off-the-street customer work orders get put aside whenever contract work comes in.

Oh and the bad connection can't be replaced short of replacing the whole motherboard, which is like keeping the body of the car but installing a new engine, seats, transmission, etc. Totally not worth it. Oh well, it still kind of works.

I'm also feeling better today, but my nose split open and bled pretty bad and I made a mess this morning.

First world rants.

Thanks. It's not a huge deal but I've only had a handful in my entire life. It's just been rubbed to death from constantly blowing it.

Got nosebleeds in High school all the time. Dr said it was the "Actifed" I used to take for my colds and I was on nasal steroids for a year. Good thing I didn't have to take any drug tests.

1st world rant: left a bag of Dove dark chocolate in my car this morning. It's 78 degrees here, so, um, oops. :/

That points towards a fondue, assuming you can eat decadent bourgeois food.

Cut that out! I was raised on bourgeois decadent food. At our celebratory znd holiday dinners, we serve some pretty good food, made by some really good volunteer chefs. Working people deserve the best.

Making fondue means trying to take off of 20 foil wrappers from liquid chocolate. :P

Not a good evening. Almost left home to stay elsewhere for the night, actually.

Why does your fantasy league have that many points?
