It takes five minutes for a friend to find, take a picture of an assignment, and text the picture to me.

It takes over 24 hours for one of my teachers to reply to my e-mail (which I get right after I asked my friend) asking for a specifc document, and reply "I don't have it, maybe ask a friend?"

A pet topic of mine (rLf puts on amateur psychology hat).

It's my belief that, relative to the degree of control we have over our actions, we have very little control over our emotions. Our ability to to steer our emotions using conscious thought is extremely limited.

The good news is that I'm a firm believer that our emotions are heavily influenced by our actions and environment, and we have great ability to control these two things.

So I try not to think my way out of a bout of negativity, I try to act my way put of it. I try to do things I enjoy, in places that I'm happiest in company that pleases me (could be my own)......inevitably positive emotions follow.

Why do games have huge release day patches ?
I just bought Rome 2 and installed it from disc, and now I still have to wait an hour for a download to finish. It's probably the free Pontus DLC. I don't want to paly Pontus for my first game. I want to start as Rome or Carthage.

Addenum: Since I ticked "start game when download is complete" I can't launch any other steam games to pass the time, since a game is already being launched (in an hour or so).

I fully acknowledge the first worldity of my problem. My whining about having to wait a fraction of a day to play a new game doesn't mean I don't appreciate my clean running water and easy access to electric power and information.

Well, if someone was experiencing Third World Problems, I don't think they'd be posting on a gaming forum. Pretty hard to do that when you're being hacked to pieces by machetes or crapping your fluids through a hole in a bed.

Rant: I wish EAxis would've just programmed their Sims games better than they have; especially TS2. I can't tell you how bleeping irritating it is to have totally, utterly, shy and introverted sims (eg, 0 or 1 out of 10 in TS2's personality points system) bring friends home from work every other damn day.

And I've googled high and low for mods to combat it, but nothing friggin' works, and my rage is enough to make me explode like an uber-supernova and render a 5000 parsec spherical radius uninhabitable.
