Random Rants XLVII: I don't like food anymore!

My test scores from last month just came in. I breezed through all the subjects except for Mathematics. In that, I was pretty much average, which sucks because I usually do fairly well. (Mathematics was never my strong point, but I've always been above average. )

I really don't get this. You're surely a genuine kind person. And there's no reason to think this woman isn't either.

So what's the problem?

Two people enjoying each other's company. Why does there have to be any expectation on either side about anything?

I like your simple view on the things, but I don't think that works here .

Lil Lincoln is pretty doing well. We got his nightly crying under control by tying him to the bed instead of locking him in the cage or bathroom. I can't wait to let him run free at night but for now he still poops and pees everywhere and chews through electrical cords. He partially chewed through a live one the other day and freaked us out. He also completely chewef through an unplugged one in about a minute and ruined a lamp. So yeah, he can't run free because he will make a mess and then kill himself.

Things are much better now that we can sleep through the night.


I hope to get pictures up soon, I have them on my phone but my phone is a POS from 2009 and the computer doesn't dock with it anymore so I have to email the pics to myself, but I can only use a specific crappy email client because the other glitches out and the working one is really tempermental. But today is my last exam so I will have time to sort it out.

Problem is, like hobbs, I have a pos phone from 2009, but unlike hobbs, this pos android is my only access to the interwebs. My data plan does allow for tethering, but again, this is a pos from 2009.

Problem is, like hobbs, I have a pos phone from 2009, but unlike hobbs, this pos android is my only access to the interwebs. My data plan does allow for tethering, but again, this is a pos from 2009.

And so many issues (with my phone at least and probably yours as well) are due to the fact that they don't update the phones after they are released. I really think there should be some regulations that enforce at least a year or two worth of updates on phones as the way it's set up creates a factor of planned obsolescence.

I currently have 4 major issues with my current phone that really hamper it's usefulness (you may have some of these issues too):

1)The phone is rocking Android 2.1, which means I can't download any new apps. Also, I can no longer even update the old apps that I have and when they stop working I cannot replace them.

2)My phone came with Swype, which lets you type by dragging your finger across the screen. It worked beautifully, but over time, it collected misspellings in the Swype dictionary. You can't access the Swype dictionary, to remove a word, you have to type it, highlight it and then press the Swype button and press OK to delete it. This is beyond tedious when you have used the phone for 4 years and it collects misspellings (on it's own, without confirmation) faster than you can remove them. Thus, I can't use that feature at all.

3)For some reason, no computer will recognize my phone anymore. So the only way I can add or remove music or pictures is by removing the microSD card. Again, this makes swapping files so tedious as to be useless to me.

4)Web pages load zoomed all the way out. I can zoom in, but sometimes the phone doesn't properly resize text or objects so everything becomes unreasonable. Plus, if I'm using a website such as CFC, even if I zoom in, as soon as I load a new page, it defaults to the zoomed-out view. More tedium.

Sound familiar?

I'm locked into this contract until December and I'm going to switch carriers so I can't buy a new phone at the moment.

Wow, seriously you need to calm down. You don't know for sure she'll be late, you don't know that even if she is a couple of minutes late it will be the cause of getting the job if she doesn't, and honestly if I had a spouse that wigged out like you are now, I'd be pissed at them too.

You're right I'm sure. I have no one else to vent to, which doesn't excuse it but there it is.

Edit: I removed it. I had just hoped to vent and illicit some sympathy since she exploded on me and could very well come home and unload on me - it's how she deals with stuff. Instead people read into what I wrote that I am explosive dick and invented a narrative where I went off on her when I didn't. I also got reminded why sharing stuff isn't always appropriate even when yoy desperately need to.

I hope VR you were able to read my reply before I took it down. You really read too much into my venting and completely got things wrong and hurt my feelings. I am over it though.

It's alright and it was wrong for me to post anything at all. But I would like to assure you I vented at the internet, not my wife. Literally all I said to her was 'It's 1:40 babe' and she exploded in me (not the other way around) because she was stressing. I was, am and will be super supportive of her and the venting I did here was an effort to not do it to her. Mostly I am just sad now and afraid if she was late (and I hope she isn't) she will come home and unload on me again.
