The thing is with research minded professors, at least at uva, is that they teach maybe one class section per year, or even per two years, whatever the minimum is. I've never encountered a professor like that, and I've completed two and a half years of the chem eng curriculum.

Lucky!

About a month ago, someone on a video game's forum asked for help with a saved game that crashes. He was desperate to get it fixed, and offered money. People looked at it, but they couldn't even get it to load in their games. One month later, he repeated his request for help, and finally mentioned that the file was actually from a different game. WHY THE HECK DIDN'T YOU SAY THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE?

In conclusion:

Dear English Classes,

Go Die in a Fire.

Sincerely,
choxorn.

Being a Grammar/Spelling Nazi, I thought you'd enjoy the class ;). Unless you're involved with the literature aspect, then yeah, it can jump over the bridge.

I'm not a spelling or grammar Nazi when I can't annoy people on the internet anonymously. :p

I am a Grammar Nazi who makes mistakes sometimes, which can cause people to get annoyed and play the card back at me irl. A friend of mine once told me she would friggin correct me every single time I made a mistake until the year was over.

Like telling you that "frigging" would be spelt conventionally with two Gs? :)

One should only grammer nazi (yes, I'm using it as a verb) when real words are involved, which 'frigging' isn't.

It might be a "real word", it might even be a real word, but it's not a real word.

Fair enough. "Grammar" is spelt with two As. :)

They most probably have found what is wrong with me, but was is wrong is extremely wrong. The basic way of putting this is that my gut flora is massively out of balance. the good bacteria that is helpful for digestion are extremely low and the bad bacteria are extremely high. So bad is the situation that my doctor hasn't seen such extreme level before. The good news is that this sort of imbalance explains perfectly why I have been so sick. But I am thinking that there is still a nasty surprise somewhere yet to be found. The fact that I have been so sick is rather troubling since the doctor is unsure exactly how it became so bad. If my thinking is right, then there is still more to be found. Also the problem is that with such an extreme case of imbalance it is going to take about 6 months to get better. Now you think your life sucks?

Read up on fecal transplants, they could really help your situation. There's no harm in bringing it up with your doctor as it's an uncommon procedure he may not have heard of or considered but it fixes your problem (if imbalanced intestinal floral is indeed the only problem).

Best of luck.

I thought your problem was out-of-whack gut flora? Fecal transplants can fix that as well as other issues. Could be wrong I guess, but I thought that was one of the things it fixes.

I thought your problem was out-of-whack gut flora?

...well...they have not even defined what exactly is normal in that area, so fixing that will probably not be *that* easy.
(also depends on nutrition and the immune status of the person)

It seems to be useful for C. difficile infections, but that is not my problem. I am not certain how it would help me in my situation.
