I can't find words to express my hate of this idiotic corrupt state I'm trapped in for the time being without getting myself infracted. OK so my friends and I were set out to see District 9 only problem is that one of them is 16 turning 17 in 28 days. so we decide to buy 2 tickets to District 9 and one for GI Joe. we then go into the district 9 theater waiting for the movie to start. all of the sudden the manager comes in and asks my 16 year old friend to leave and go to the movie that he bought tickets for. we decide to go with him being good friends and all so we see GI joe.
Terrible does not even begin to describe GI joe. ill leave out most of the details but at one point the joes were attacking and underwater fortress in the arctic. at one point the villain decides to destroy the fortress. his plan: detonate the ice above the fortress so it will SINK and crush the do-gooders inside.
Have the directors seriously never drank ice water before?

It's a different kind of approach to an alien movie. There were plenty of action sequences, but it also dealt with ethics and international relations type stuff. I liked it. I get a feeling you probably would too.
