Random Rants XVII: Rage Against the Machine

I haven't finished a lab report that was due by 5pm today. Since I was up really late last night/early this morning working on it, I'm not well rested enough to finish it up very well. It will be 25% off the lab grade (the equivalent of 1% of the final grade in the class) per day late, and won't be accepted more than 2 days late. I dropped this class in the spring because I didn't get the first report finished, and the syllabus said that not turning in a single report will result in automatic failure. I have a different professor this semester though, and her syllabus doesn't say anything about needed every lab to pass.

Well, after I got two of my friends to agree with me last year, we all posted the same Facebook status. This sparked a massive panic across the school, as though Theistic Evolution was the Theological equivalent of H1N1. Massive debates were had. South Park clips were cited. Future ministers were condemned to Hell. Girlfriends were broken up with. People went up to the pastor who runs the school and asked him to do the rest of the year's assemblies about Genesis, and he did. Case in point: Everyone knows what I think about the issue, so that won't work. I think that as long as I write down what the fine scholars at Pensecola want to hear, and I remain as respectful as possible during class-discussion, I should be fine. My school actually encourages healthy debate. This all leads up to two rants:
1. I haven't had internet access for days, so I have to respond to old posts.
2. I was going to go to the library to pick up Why Evolution is True by Jerry Coyne (for the disspensation raw scientific facts) and Beyond the Firmament by Gordon Glover (for the innevitable occurrence that most of the debates would become Theological in nature), but I lost my library card.
