Interesting, I've never heard of it. I don't think Christianity was originally intended for communism, though: the religion started much before the time of Karl Marx. Or maybe you're just saying that because you're a communist robot.

You don't have to be a Marxist to be a Communist. Communist societies have existed for thousands of years before Marx was around. In ancient Israel, and in England following the English Civil War the True Levellers led by Gerrad Winstanley advocated a society where all land was owned communally and justified it based on biblical principles.

Arguably he and the True Levellers may have been one of the earliest communists.

Ah. When Karl and Friedrich wrote The Communist Manifesto, then soon after that, the Russian Revolution, I thought that was when communism started. Maybe I need to research more, thanks for the information. I need to go to bed now.

If Jesus actually existed and was a real person, I believe that his conception of a Christian society would have been very close to the Communist ideal is basically what I'm saying. There's Islamic socialism and Arab socialism also. I'm not saying that a particular religion is requisite for it, just that Christianity has communist beliefs, and roots.

Anyway, Communism or whatever works without Christianity. You can't say it was "intended" for it, as it wouldn't have anything to do with religious views. A society can be Communist and Christian, or Muslim, or Hindu. Why wouldn't it?`

I am sick of politicians telling me why I shouldn't vote for the other guy.
I am sick of the media telling me who I voted for and why.
I am sick of bloggs and tweets speculating on who will get in, whether a particular coalition is valid, or has a mandate.
I am sick of helicopters following cars through the streets.
The media coverage on election night was ****, BBC kept asking celebs for their views, who cares what they think. ITV kept calling results from their sources, not the returning officer, and Sky was Sky, need I say more. Not one of them spent enough time on the detail of each constituency vote. Get rid of the flash graphics and give us a result, and a two dimensional swingometer is useless.

If I had wanted a Tory government I would have voted for them, this is a Con, Bring on electoral reform.

I feel better now, thank you.
