That happens when you incesantly talk about almost one topic to the exclusion of anything else. That happened to me when I first read Lord of the Rings in 7th grade. Whenever I mentioned 'Lord of the R.....' people would tell me to shut up.
In short, talk about it less, and people will either care (or not care enough to post anything) about it.

from my experience, legs take a lot longer to get cold than the rest of your body, espically if you walk around a lot. friction produces heat.
