I only did a little more than a third because some of them made me want to scream in agony, but I got a 100.I'll have to see if I can find it again

I never understood the point of IQ tests. How is seeing patterns in completely useless sequences a judgement of your intelligence?
Either way, got a 96, which is below normal.
Patterns are everywhere in nature. If you can see patterns, you can adapt to any situation - which is essentially what humans do. We aren't good at anything in particular except adapting to changing environments in ways the woolly mammoths, for example, couldn't.
I used to be the kind of kid that would hike for hours with the purpose of getting lost and then finding my way back without a map and using only instincts, but I can't read patterns worth anything. Would I be capable of simply developing wings and flying home if I were good at patterns?
Rant: The Age charging $80 for students newspaper subscription (compared to $30 last year)
Meanwhile, Herald Sun charges $10 for the same.
